Daily run showing results of previous runs
Closed
I selected a schedule of daily run with the output set for July Results. I want to be able to see if anything new is being scraped each day that differ from the results of my runs of the previous days. However, when I select daily for the schedule, it is showing me the results of my previous run and not just anything new which also charges me the full amount of data that I already have from previous runs. Is there any way to create an actor for like I have, for example, July results, run that let's say today, and then have a daily run scheduled for results of anything new detected each day without showing duplicate results of previous runs?
Hi, running this actor daily won't yield new results because scrapers scraping data behind it update results once per week/two. Basically they have to scrape whole google maps for all businesses which is enormous amount of data requiring bunch of servers and few days. Scraping it more often would not be effective, as there is very little opening soon businesses added on daily bases. As for filtering out new vs.old results , yes, you are right and thanks for suggestion, I'll add scrape date as filter to help you with this, until it's done there is small workaround, results are being shown in order of being scraped, if you choose to see only 1 result daily you can immediately see if there was something new added or not.
Ok, I added date picker right now so if you run scheduler with some recent date you should get only new results.
