Data source and compliance

Data comes from the FMCSA Company Census file published on the DOT open-data portal (dataset az4n-8mr2), which is public domain and updated daily by 12:00 PM Eastern. No website scraping is involved, so this Actor does not break when a site changes.

FAQ

How fresh is it? The DOT publishes the census daily. Carriers that registered yesterday appear today.

Does it include MC numbers? The census carries USDOT numbers and docket prefixes where filed. The SAFER link shows the full authority record.

Can I get only carriers with more than one truck? Yes, set minimum power units.

Rate limits? Large pulls (tens of thousands of rows) run faster with a free Socrata app token, which you can paste into the optional field.
