maxPins applies to each query / URL. A profile URL returns the user's created pins.

FAQ

Why are commentCount/repinCount null? Search and board feeds do not include them; only single-pin URLs do. saves is filled when Pinterest exposes it.

Why do some search pin URLs not open? Anonymous search results use obfuscated pin ids (e1_...); the pin URL for those may not open in a browser.

Can I scrape private boards? No. Public data only.

Do I need an account or API key for the source? No. The Actor needs no login or source API key. You only need an Apify account to run it.

Is it legal to scrape this data? Public pins only. Respect Pinterest's terms and the image owners' copyright; do not republish images without rights. This is general information, not legal advice.

Limitations

• Public data only. Private boards and secret pins are not available.
• Search and board feeds do not include commentCount / repinCount (only the single-pin URL does); saves is filled when Pinterest exposes it.
• Search results (anonymous) use obfuscated pin ids (e1_...); the pin URL for those may not open in a browser.
• Pinterest rate-limits aggressively: residential proxy is the default. Blocked requests are logged as warnings.
