Find companies that just raised money, straight from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Every company that sells shares, SAFEs or notes in a private round under Regulation D must file a Form D with the SEC within 15 days of the first sale. This Actor reads those filings from EDGAR, the SEC's public system, and gives you one clean row per round: company, amount raised, round size, industry, address, phone, executives and directors, and the brokers paid to sell it.

It is a public-data alternative to funding databases: no login, no API key, no proxies.

Who uses it

  • Sales and business development teams: a company that just raised money is about to hire, buy software and spend. Reach out in the first weeks.
  • Recruiters and agencies: freshly funded startups are about to grow their teams.
  • Investors and analysts: track new rounds by industry, state and size, every day.
  • Service providers (accounting, legal, banking, insurance, real estate): find new clients the week they get capital.

The OUTPUT record of the run has a summary: the days read, how many filings were listed, read and saved, and how many each filter left out.

How much does it cost?

You pay per filing saved (see the Pricing tab). Investment funds, amendments, filings left out by your filters and filings already saved by an earlier run are not charged. In the last week of September 2026 EDGAR received between 135 and 233 new Form D filings per business day; on September 30, 59 of its 197 came from operating companies and the rest from investment funds.

Good to know

  • Fresh data, one day behind. EDGAR publishes each day's list of filings after the day ends, and weekends and US holidays have none. A daily schedule with filedWithinDays: 2 and onlyNew: true gets every new round once.
  • Self-reported amounts. The amounts are what the company filed. "Amount sold" can be 0 when the round just opened, and some companies file late or not at all, so not every startup round is here.
  • No website or email. The Form D has an address and a phone, not a website.
  • Fair use of EDGAR. The Actor identifies itself to the SEC and makes at most 5 requests per second, half of the 10 the SEC allows. The SEC counts every request from the same address, so do not start many runs at once: if it ever limits the address, the run stops and tells you to try again in about 10 minutes.
  • Industry, location and amount filters read every filing. EDGAR's daily list only has the company name, so the Actor reads each filing to check them. A week has about 850 new filings: a narrow filter can take 3 minutes.

Personal data

Form D filings are public records that the SEC publishes, and the people listed are the company's executive officers, directors and promoters in that role. For people, the Actor keeps the name, the role and the city, state and country, never their street address. If you contact them, follow the laws that apply to you (for example, CAN-SPAM in the US or GDPR in Europe).
