One watch = one technology or company monitored. Get new patent publications as structured data: title, abstract snippet, assignee, inventor, filing/publication dates and PDF link. Built for competitive intelligence, R&D radar, deep-tech scouting and AI agents.
{"term": "solid state battery","hits": [{"publicationNumber": "US20260125054A1","title": "Solid-state electrolyte composition and battery cell","snippet": "A solid-state battery comprising a sulfide electrolyte…","assignee": "Toyota Motor Corporation","inventor": "…","filingDate": "2024-11-02","publicationDate": "2026-05-07","url": "https://patents.google.com/patent/US20260125054A1/en","pdf": "https://patentimages.storage.googleapis.com/…"}],"meta": { "totalIndexed": 13329, "daysBack": 90 }}
What you can watch
- A technology:
{"term": "solid state battery"}— every new publication touching the topic. - A company:
{"assignee": "Nintendo"}— a competitor's fresh filings, before the tech press writes about them. - Both:
{"term": "lidar", "assignee": "Bosch"}— a company's moves in one specific field. - A portfolio: up to 20 watches per run via
watches, ideal on a weekly schedule.
Use with AI agents (MCP)
https://mcp.apify.com?tools=jdepablos/patent-watch
Your agent gets a "what's new in patents for X?" tool with clean structured output — no PDFs to parse, no pagination. Combine with a scheduled run and the agent can brief you weekly on competitors' R&D.
Pricing
Pay per event: one patent-watch charge per watch that returns hits. Watches with no new publications in the window are never charged — a quiet week costs you nothing.
FAQ
Where does the data come from? Google Patents' public index (worldwide coverage: US, EP, WO, JP, CN…).
How fresh is it? Google Patents indexes new publications with a ~2 month lag. daysBack: 90 is the sweet spot for a rolling watch (below 60 days the index often has nothing yet) — you'll see everything, slightly deferred, with zero API keys or credentials.
Can I filter by jurisdiction? v1 returns worldwide results (the publicationNumber prefix tells you the office: US, EP, WO…). Per-office filters are on the roadmap.
Is this legal advice or a freedom-to-operate search? No. It's a monitoring feed of public data; consult a patent attorney for legal questions.
