Richland County OH Liens: UCC, Tax & Mechanics

Search Richland County, Ohio recorded liens by debtor, lender or document number. Richland County is a separate Ohio recording jurisdiction with its own Recorder index. It is not the Ohio Secretary of State UCC system, and it is not Stark, Tuscarawas, Clermont, Fayette or any other county recorder actor. Data comes from the Richland County Recorder's public online index and returns the recorded lien families that a statewide UCC feed does not publish.

Here is one real record from this actor.

What you get

  • One row per recorded lien or UCC filing: deduplicated by the Richland County document number.
  • Debtor and secured-party detail: every published grantor and grantee, with the recorder's role labels.
  • Accurate party direction: initial UCC fixture filings, federal tax liens, mechanics liens, workers-comp premium liens and continuations keep the debtor, owner or employer on the grantor side. Terminations and releases reverse that direction: the releasing secured party or agency is the grantor and the debtor is the grantee. Lis pendens party order is not consistent enough to assert a debtor, so those records are marked mixed and keep both published sides. A small number of UCC fixture records are recorded with the lender on the grantor side; the actor detects that case with a lender-name check, swaps the sides and marks direction_source=lender_heuristic.
  • Recording data: document number, document type, recorded date and time, book type, book/page, page count, signature page and legal-description page when published.
  • Money: the consideration or lien amount when the county publishes one, with amount_source.
  • Chain context: the prior or related document number, type, book/page and date from the annotation/reference section, so you can connect a termination or release to its original filing.
  • Legal description: the published municipality, township, lot, acreage and remarks.
  • Release flags: UCC terminations, tax-lien releases, mechanics-lien releases, workers-comp releases and lis-pendens releases are marked so you can separate active liens from paid-off filings.
  • Search context: the search term, search side and search type that produced the record.

Each record can carry these 60 fields. A field the source does not publish for a record comes back as null.

Comparison with other Apify actors

No dedicated actor for this source on the Apify Store as of November 2026. We searched the public Store on 2026-11-06 with queries including "Richland County Ohio lien", "Richland County recorder" and "Richland County ucc", and we reviewed the listings for this source and data type. Broader actors exist: shelvick/property-deed-records searches deed and lien records from county recorder indexes and regdata/us-county-recorded-documents lists county clerk records in TX, OH and MI. Their listings do not name this source, so we could not confirm that they cover it. Store listings change, so run the same search before you rely on this.
