SWAPI Scraper

Pulls Star Wars characters, planets, starships, vehicles, species and films through the public SWAPI mirror. No login, no proxy, no browser.

Output

One row per record, with the fields relevant to its resource: resource, name, filmCount, heightCm, massKg, birthYear, gender, climate, terrain, population, model, manufacturer, costInCredits, episodeId, releaseDate, url.

Notes

Films are titled, everything else is named. recordName falls back from name to title, which is what lets one mapper and one filter serve all six resources.
Numbers are strings upstream and come in three unhelpful flavours: plain ("172"), comma-grouped ("1,000,000") and the literal "unknown". All three are normalised, with "unknown" becoming null rather than NaN.
This uses swapi.info rather than the original swapi.dev, which has been unreliable. It serves whole collections in one response, so filtering and capping happen client-side.
