🚀 Flippa Scraper: Online Businesses and Websites for Sale
Export Flippa marketplace listings of online businesses and websites for sale as clean JSON, CSV or Excel. The Flippa Advanced Scraper returns each listing's asking price, price cuts, monthly revenue and profit, profit multiple, age, type, industry, location and seller type. Use it to screen online businesses for sale, track Shopify stores for sale, or as a simple alternative to a Flippa API.
🎯 Use Cases
- Find online businesses for sale: pull every Flippa listing that matches your keyword into one sheet and filter by price, profit and multiple instead of clicking through cards.
- Track websites for sale: schedule a daily run and spot new listings, price reductions and early-access listings before they go public.
- Shopify stores and ecommerce businesses for sale: search "Shopify", "ecommerce" or "Amazon FBA" and compare asking prices against monthly revenue and profit.
- Online business valuation research: collect asking prices and profit multiples by type and industry (SaaS, ecommerce, content, apps) to benchmark what a business like yours could sell for.
- Deal flow for brokers and buyers: watch broker-listed and owner-listed deals side by side, with the broker's name where Flippa shows it.
✨ Features
- Prices as numbers: asking price, original price and reduction percent for discounted listings, price-guide range for brokered listings, plus the currency.
- Financials: monthly revenue, monthly profit and the profit multiple, with "$23.6K" style values turned into plain numbers.
- Listing context: business type (Ecommerce, SaaS, Amazon Store…), industry, age in years, location, seller type, broker name, and whether the listing's data is verified by Flippa.
- Raw card values kept: every metric is also saved exactly as Flippa shows it, so nothing is lost in parsing.
- Whole marketplace or one keyword: leave the search empty to export every live listing, or enter a keyword to narrow it down. All result pages are walked automatically.
- Fair billing: the run stops as soon as your maximum charge is reached, and you never pay for more listings than were saved.
🛠️ How It Works
- Enter a search keyword such as "Shopify Stores", "SaaS" or "newsletter", or leave it empty for all listings.
- Run the scraper: it walks every result page for that search.
- Download the listings as JSON, CSV or Excel, or pull them through the Apify API.
⚙️ Input
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Search keywords | The keyword you would type into Flippa search. Leave empty to export every live Flippa listing. |
{"search": "Shopify Stores"}
To limit how many listings you get (and pay for), set Maximum cost per run in the run options. An empty search returns the whole marketplace, which was about 6,000 listings at the time of writing.
💰 Pricing
Pay only for the listings you get. No monthly rental.
| Event | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Result | $0.006 per listing ($6.00 per 1,000) | One Flippa listing with all fields below |
Examples: a 22-listing keyword search = $0.132 · 1,000 listings = $6.00 · the full marketplace of about 6,000 listings ≈ $36.
📊 Sample Output Data
A real row from a "Shopify Stores" search:
{"id": "12766656","listing_url": "https://flippa.com/12766656-mergify-is-a-shopify-app-that-combines-multiple-customer-orders-into-one-shipment-helping-stores-save-on-shipping-costs","title": "SaaS | Internet","summary": "Mergify is a Shopify app that combines multiple customer orders into one shipment, helping stores save on shipping costs","country_name": "Canada","seller_type": "Brokered by Flippa","broker_name": "Jared Lauber","data_verified": false,"currency": "USD","price": 645000,"original_price": 750000,"price_reduced_pct": 14,"open_to_offers": false,"price_guide_min": null,"price_guide_max": null,"partial_sale_equity_pct": null,"monthly_revenue": 13300,"monthly_profit": 11400,"multiple": 4.7,"established_at": 5,"property_type": "SaaS","category": "Internet","first_access_public_on": null,"metrics": {"Monthly Revenue": "USD $13.3K","Monthly Profit": "USD $11.4K","Profit Multiple": "4.7x","Age": "5 years","Type": "SaaS","Industry": "Internet"}}
title is the card heading: the business name or domain when the seller shows it, otherwise "Type | Industry". summary is the seller's one-line pitch. established_at is the business age in years, multiple is Flippa's profit multiple (asking price divided by yearly profit), and first_access_public_on is the date an early-access listing opens to everyone. metrics keeps the raw card values.
🔁 Schedule and Integrate
To track online businesses for sale, run it once a day with the same keyword: every run is a dated snapshot, so you can spot new listings, price cuts and sold or withdrawn deals by comparing runs. Set it up in Apify Schedules. Send the results to Google Sheets, Zapier, Make, n8n or a webhook with Apify integrations, so new deals land where you already review them.

❓ FAQ
Does Flippa have an official API? Flippa doesn't offer a self-serve public API for pulling its marketplace listings in bulk. This Actor needs no key, account or approval and returns the public data a buyer sees on Flippa's search page, with prices and financials already turned into numbers.
How do I find online businesses for sale that match my budget? Run a keyword search (or an empty one for everything), export to a spreadsheet and filter on price, monthly_profit and multiple. Schedule it daily to catch new listings and price reductions.
Do I need a Flippa account? No. The Actor reads public search results only. Details that Flippa shows only to signed-in or verified buyers are not included.
Why is the price or a financial field empty? Auction listings and broker listings with a price guide have no fixed asking price, so price is null (broker listings fill price_guide_min and price_guide_max instead). Sellers who don't disclose revenue or profit show "N/A", which becomes null, and multiple is empty when there is no profit to divide by.
How many listings can I get? Every listing that Flippa's search returns for your keyword. A broad keyword can return thousands, so set a maximum cost per run if you only need a sample.
What are alternatives to Flippa for buying a website or online business? Other marketplaces and brokers list online and small businesses too; the related scrapers below cover a broker marketplace for small businesses and commercial property sites, so you can compare deal flow across sources.
