🚀 LinkedIn People Search Scraper: Prospect and Candidate Lists by Job Title
Run a LinkedIn people search by job title, company and location without a LinkedIn account, cookies or login. The LinkedIn People Search Scraper turns a list of roles ("Head of Marketing", "CTO"), employers and places into a clean list of professionals with their name, current title, company, location, country and profile URL. Use it for B2B lead generation, LinkedIn prospecting, recruiting and account mapping, as a simple alternative to the LinkedIn API for people search.
🎯 LinkedIn Lead Generation and Recruiting Use Cases
- B2B lead generation: build a prospect list of every "Head of Marketing" or "VP Sales" in your target cities, ready for your CRM or outreach tool.
- LinkedIn X-ray search without the manual work: instead of typing Boolean searches one by one and copying results, enter titles, companies and locations once and get a deduplicated table.
- LinkedIn recruiting and candidate sourcing: list the Product Managers in Manchester or the Data Engineers in Berlin before you open a role.
- Account mapping: see who holds which role at the companies you sell to, e.g. the CTO, CFO and VP Engineering at a named account.
- LinkedIn prospecting for agencies: refresh prospect lists for clients by title and region on a schedule.
- Market and talent research: compare how many people with a given title show up publicly in different cities or countries.
✨ Features
- Search by title, company and location: every title is combined with every company and location you enter, so one run covers a whole target list.
- Abbreviations understood: CTO matches Chief Technology Officer, CEO matches Chief Executive Officer, VP matches Vice President, UK matches United Kingdom, and back.
- Three phrasings per location: each place is searched as "London", "London Area" and "Greater London", because profiles write locations in different ways. If those searches run out before your limit, a broader search runs automatically.
- Ready-to-use profile rows: name, headline, current title, company, location, country, a short public profile snippet and the canonical
linkedin.com/in/…URL. - Match confidence on every row:
highwhen the profile itself confirms the title, company and location you asked for (for a location: both the city and its country);mediumwhen nothing contradicts your search but part of it is not shown publicly. - Off-target rows left out, not billed: a profile must carry every word of the title you asked for ("Product Manager" needs both words, so a "Communications and Engagement Manager" is dropped; "Former CEO" does not count as CEO). Profiles whose own location, company or title contradicts your search are dropped before they reach the dataset, and a city that only appears in the person's name ("Jacob Manchester") never counts as a location match.
- Country check for location searches: profiles from a different country than your location (by LinkedIn's country site or the country in their location, e.g. "United States" for a Berlin search) are skipped; profiles with no public country are kept as
medium. - No duplicates: each profile is returned once per run, even when it matches several of your searches, and the list survives a platform restart mid-run.
- Fair billing: you pay only for unique profiles saved to the dataset, and the run stops at your maximum cost per run.
- Clear status at the end: the run tells you how many profiles it found and whether public results ran out before your limit.
🛠️ How It Works
- Enter job titles, e.g.
Head of Marketing,CTO. Add companies and locations to narrow the search (both optional), and extra keywords such asfintechif every profile should mention them. - Set Max profiles (default 50, up to 5,000) and start the run.
- Download the list as JSON, CSV or Excel, or pull it through the Apify API. Profiles appear in the dataset page by page while the run is going.
⚙️ Input
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
Job titles (titles) | Job titles to find. A profile must contain every word of the title (small words like "of" and "and" aside), in any order: "Head of Marketing" matches "Global Head of Customer Marketing" but not "Head of Policy". Abbreviations and long forms match each other (CTO and Chief Technology Officer). |
Companies (companies) | Optional company names. Leave empty to search across all companies. |
Locations (locations) | Optional cities, regions or countries, e.g. "London" or "Germany". |
Extra keywords (keywords) | Optional words every profile should mention, e.g. "SaaS" or "fintech". |
Search country (country) | Country the search runs from, as a country code (gb, de) or domain ending (co.uk, com.au). Leave com for worldwide. Setting a country also keeps location searches to profiles from that country. |
Max profiles (maxItems) | Maximum number of unique profiles to return. Default 50, maximum 5,000. |
{"titles": ["Head of Marketing", "Marketing Director"],"locations": ["London"],"country": "com","maxItems": 50}
Titles take turns: the first results page of every title (and every company and location) is searched before the second page of any, so each one gets a share of Max profiles instead of the first title filling the limit. With a very small limit, the titles you list first may still take most of it.
💰 Pricing
Pay only for the profiles you get. No monthly rental.
| Event | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Profile | $0.005 per profile ($5.00 per 1,000) | One unique LinkedIn profile row with all fields below |
| Actor start | $0.00005 per run | Charged once when the run starts (one event per GB of memory; the default 512 MB counts as one). |
Examples: 50 profiles = about $0.25 · 1,000 profiles = about $5.00 · 5,000 profiles (the maximum per run) = about $25.00.
Profiles that contradict your search are never returned or charged. Set a maximum cost per run in the run options and the scraper stops when it is reached, with a status message saying how many profiles it saved.
📊 Sample Output Data
A real row from a search for CEO at Microsoft:
{"profileUrl": "https://www.linkedin.com/in/satyanadella","name": "Satya Nadella","headline": "Chairman and CEO at Microsoft","title": "Chairman and CEO","company": "Microsoft","location": null,"country": null,"snippet": "Chairman and CEO at Microsoft · As chairman and CEO of Microsoft, I define my mission and that of my company as empowering every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more.","search": "CEO · Microsoft","confidence": "high","scrapedAt": "2026-10-21T09:46:50.838Z"}
search tells you which of your title / company / location combinations found the profile, so you can split one run back into segments. country is the ISO code of the profile's country (for example GB or DE), from the LinkedIn country site it is listed under or else from the country in its location, and is null when the profile shows neither. company is the current employer from the profile's experience or the "at …" part of the headline, and null when neither is shown (headline taglines such as "B2B SaaS" are not reported as companies). confidence is high here because both the title (CEO) and the company (Microsoft) are confirmed by the profile itself.
🔁 Schedule and Integrate
For prospecting and recruiting, run the same search once a week: people change jobs all the time, and a weekly run picks up new holders of a role in your target cities or accounts. Compare profileUrl with last week's dataset to see who is new. Set it up in Apify Schedules. Send the results to Google Sheets, Zapier, Make, n8n or a webhook with Apify integrations, so fresh prospect lists land in the CRM or sourcing sheet your team already uses.
🤖 Use with AI Agents (MCP)
This Actor works as a tool in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients through the Apify MCP server (https://mcp.apify.com), so an agent can build a prospect list for you in the middle of a conversation. An agent can call it with:
{ "titles": ["CTO"], "locations": ["Berlin"], "maxItems": 20 }
❓ LinkedIn API and People Search FAQ
Does LinkedIn have an official API for people search? LinkedIn offers official APIs through its developer platform and partner programs, such as sign-in, marketing and talent solutions. Searching people by title, company and location is not part of the self-serve access, and partner programs need an application and approval. This Actor is a practical alternative for public profile data: no API key, no approval, no LinkedIn account, and results come back as a ready table.
Is this a LinkedIn X-ray or Boolean search tool? It does the same job without the manual work. You list titles, companies, locations and keywords; the Actor runs every combination, removes duplicates, checks each profile against what you asked for and gives you one clean list.
Do I need a LinkedIn account, cookies or Sales Navigator? No. The Actor works from publicly available profile information only and never logs in, so there is no account to risk.
Why is the location or company empty for some profiles? The Actor returns what the profile shows publicly. Many public profiles show a title but no location, or no current company; those fields are null and the row is marked medium confidence. Profiles whose public details contradict your search are left out instead.
How many profiles can I get per search? Up to 5,000 per run. One title and city typically yields well over a hundred people (tested: 150 of 150 for "Head of Marketing" in London). Very narrow searches, such as a rare title at one small company, can run out earlier; the final status message tells you when public results ran out before your Max profiles.
Does it return emails or phone numbers? No. Rows contain public professional profile information only: name, headline, title, company, location, country and profile URL. Use them with your own enrichment or outreach process, and follow the data-protection rules (such as GDPR) that apply to you.
