🛠️ How It Works

1. Enter product URLs: paste product pages from Shopify stores that show Loox reviews, for example https://citybonfires.com/products/the-chair-blanket.
2. Choose scope, filters and a limit: keep the default "This product" or switch to "All products in the store", optionally filter by stars, media or date, and set "Maximum reviews" (default 50).
3. Run the scraper: reviews go to the dataset, and the per-URL coverage report goes to the SUMMARY record in the key-value store.

Filters are checked against the reviews the store's feed returns. A very selective filter therefore stops after checking about 10 × "Maximum reviews" + 200 reviews per URL. The log and SUMMARY show this as scanLimit; raise "Maximum reviews" to check more.

Set a maximum charge on the run and the scraper stops when it is reached. The SUMMARY record then shows budgetLimit as the stop reason.

Video reviews carry a media entry like { "type": "video", "url": "https://iframe.videodelivery.net/…", "thumbnailUrl": "https://images.loox.io/uploads/…" }. options holds the product option the reviewer chose, such as { "question": "Item type", "answer": "Lavender" }. reviewedProductName is filled in "All products in the store" scope, where one feed mixes many products.

Good to know

• Video links open the hosted video player. They are not direct MP4 files, and the scraper downloads no media.
• Dates are empty when the store hides them in its review widget.
• Verified: isVerified is true when Loox shows the verified badge and null otherwise. A missing badge does not prove the buyer is unverified.
• Grouped products: stores can show the same reviews on related products or bundles. "This product" returns what Loox shows for that product, and productUrl is the page's own canonical address.
• Translations: isAutoTranslated: true marks reviews that Loox shows machine-translated into the store's language.

❓ Loox Reviews FAQ

Does Loox have an official API? Loox's tools, including review export and its integrations, are built for the store owner and work through that store's own Loox account. There is no public Loox API for reading another store's reviews. This Actor needs no key, login or store access and returns the reviews any shopper can see on the product page, with full text, photos, videos and replies in one table.

How do I export Loox reviews from a Shopify store? Paste the product URL into this Actor, run it, and download the dataset as CSV, Excel or JSON. Choose "All products in the store" to export the store's whole Loox review feed from a single product URL.

Do I need a Loox or Shopify account? No. The Actor reads public product pages only.

Why is a field empty? publishedAt is null when the store hides review dates, isVerified is null when no verified badge is shown, merchantReply is null when the store did not reply, and productTitle can be empty on custom storefronts that do not publish a page title tag.

How many reviews can I get? Up to 100,000 per run across up to 100 product URLs. A product returns as many reviews as Loox shows for it; the SUMMARY record tells you the advertised count and whether the feed was read to the end.

What if a URL is not a Loox store? The run still finishes, with 0 reviews for that URL and a notLoox status in the SUMMARY record, and you are not charged for it.
