Get UK public procurement notices from Find a Tender and Contracts Finder, the two official UK government portals, in one run. This UK tenders scraper reads both portals through their official OCDS APIs, so it is fast, complete and does not break when a web page changes. Each notice comes back as one flat row: title, buyer, notice type, CPV codes, region, estimated and awarded values, deadlines, contract dates and links, as JSON, CSV or Excel.
Filter by keywords, CPV code, region or nation, stage (planning, tender, award, contract), dates, value, SME suitability and buyer. Schedule it with Only new rows to get a daily feed of new UK tenders for the price of the new rows.

What you get
One row per notice, the same columns for both portals:
- Notice: portal, notice ID and link, procurement ID (the same for every notice of one procurement), notice type with its name (UK4 Tender notice, UK6 Contract award notice, UK7 Contract details notice...), stage, publication time
- Procurement: title, description, status, category (goods, services, works), procedure, Procurement Act 2023 or earlier rules, above or below threshold, special regimes (light touch, concession, defence)
- Buyer: name, Companies House number when it has one, type (central government, sub-central, public undertaking), town, postcode, region, website; never a contact person
- Classification and place: main and other CPV codes with labels and the CPV division, delivery regions as ITL codes (UKI31), region names (London) and nations (England)
- Money and dates: estimated value without and with VAT, value range, tender and clarification deadlines, contract start and end, number of lots and lot titles, SME and VCSE suitability, framework agreement
- Awards and contracts: award date, signature date, awarded value, number of suppliers and their sizes (SME, large); supplier names and Companies House numbers for registered organisations
- Links: the notice page, tender documents and the submission or registration page when the buyer gives one
Why this actor
- Both official portals, one schema: Find a Tender carries every above-threshold notice and, for procurements started from 24 February 2025, the below-threshold ones too (except in Scotland); Contracts Finder carries the below-threshold contracts in England of procurements started before that date. You get both, with the same columns and a
sourcefield. - Codes turned into words: notice types UK1-UK17 named, ITL region codes turned into region names and nations, CPV codes with their labels.
- Filters that work across both portals: region names or ITL codes, CPV prefixes (72 covers all IT services), stage, open for tenders only, value range, SME suitability, keywords with exclusions.
- Count before you pay: Count only shows how many notices match and what they would be charged; nothing is delivered.
- No contact persons, no tenderers, no sole traders: you pay per delivered notice, with a charge cap.
How to use it
- Open the Actor and fill in Keywords (the other fields are optional filters).
- Set Maximum notices to a small number for a first try (the default is a safe start).
- Optional: tick Count only and start once. You get the number of matching rows and the estimated cost, for free (only the start event is charged). Untick it to get the data.
- Click Start. The status line shows progress; the run stops cleanly at your limit or at the charge limit you set in the run options.
- Open the Dataset tab and download JSON, CSV, Excel, XML or HTML, or send the rows to Google Sheets, Slack, Make, n8n or Zapier with the Integrations tab.
- To run it on a schedule, use Schedules in Apify Console and turn on Only new rows since the last run below: every run then costs only the new rows, and a webhook URL tells you when something new came in.

Results can be downloaded as JSON, CSV, Excel, XML or HTML from the Dataset tab, or read through the Apify API.

Pricing
Pay per result. You pay for each notice delivered to your dataset, nothing else: no subscription, no minimum, no charge for rows your filters drop or for the requests behind them.
| Your Apify plan | Price per 1,000 rows | Price per row |
|---|---|---|
| Free plan | $3.00 | $0.003 |
| Starter plan | $2.67 | $0.00267 |
| Scale plan | $2.33 | $0.00233 |
| Business plan and above | $2.00 | $0.002 |
Example: 1,000 notices cost $3.00 on the Free plan and $2.00 on the Business plan. The Apify platform usage of a run (compute, storage) is small for this actor — well under one cent per 1,000 rows — and is billed by Apify separately, as for every Actor.
A start event of $0.00005 is charged once per run (Apify default).
Cap your spend: set Maximum total charge in the run options. The actor stops cleanly when the cap is reached and you keep everything delivered until then. The run summary (RUN_SUMMARY in the key-value store) says why a run stopped.
Check before you pay: turn on Count only to see how many rows match and what they would cost at your tier. That run delivers nothing and costs only the start event.
Automation: only new rows, notifications, schedules
Only new rows since the last run. Turn on onlyNew and the actor remembers every notice it delivered to you (in a key-value store named rowcraft-uk-tenders-scraper-state in your Apify account). The next run with the same stateName skips what you already have and you pay only for new rows. The first run delivers everything that matches. Use a different stateName for each schedule or search so they keep separate memories.
Notification when the run ends. Put a webhook address in notifyUrl and the actor sends one JSON POST with the number of new rows, links to the dataset (JSON and CSV) and the run. It works out of the box with Slack and Discord incoming webhooks (the message is in text and content), with Make, n8n and Zapier catch hooks, and with your own endpoint. By default it is sent only when there is at least one new row; notifyWhenEmpty sends it every time.
Schedules. Create a schedule in Apify Console (hourly, daily, weekly or cron) with onlyNew on. A daily schedule gives you a feed of new notices for the price of the new rows only.
Integrations. Send the results to Make, n8n, Zapier, Google Sheets, Slack, Google Drive, Airtable or any webhooks from the Integrations tab of the Actor, with no code. Apify also offers native actions for Make, n8n and Zapier.
API, SDKs and AI agents. Every run is available through the Apify API and the official JavaScript and Python clients; the Actor can also be called by AI agents through the Apify MCP server. The example input in the API tab is a working call.
Count only. countOnly returns the number of matching notices and the estimated cost without delivering anything, so you can size a job before paying for it.
Use cases
- Bid monitoring: a daily feed of new UK tenders in your CPV codes and regions, with deadlines, straight into Slack or a sheet.
- Market and competitor intelligence: who buys what, where, for how much; award and contract notices show values, dates and the registered companies that won.
- Pipeline building: UK1 pipeline and UK3 planned procurement notices are the tenders of the coming months.
- Research and journalism: values, procedures and buyers across both portals, with the Procurement Act 2023 notice types named.
Ready-made examples, each with the input filled in (open one and press Start, or save it as your own task):
- Get open IT and software tenders in the UK
- Find open construction tenders in the UK
- See who won UK public contracts in the last 30 days
- Find open UK tenders suitable for small businesses
What this actor does not do
- Deliver contact persons, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, tenderers or bids: they are left out of every row.
- Name suppliers that may be people: a supplier name is kept only when it is a registered organisation (a Companies House, charity or public-body number, or a legal form such as Ltd, PLC or LLP in the name); the others are counted in
suppliersWithheld. - Read the tender documents themselves or log in to e-tendering systems; each row links to the notice and, when given, the documents.
- Cover Public Contracts Scotland, Sell2Wales or eTendersNI on their own: their above-threshold notices are on Find a Tender, the rest stays on those portals.
- Use proxies or solve CAPTCHAs: the public APIs need none of that.
Limits and fair use
- One request per second by default, 500 ms at the lowest, and at least 3 seconds between two Find a Tender requests. The portals ask for a two-minute pause after a series of requests: Find a Tender after about 20, whether they come 1.5 or 5 seconds apart (measured on 12 October 2026), and from Apify's shared addresses even the first request of a run can get one. The actor waits and continues, so a run can include one or more two-minute pauses.
- Each request returns up to 100 notices; Find a Tender publishes about 450 notices on a working day and Contracts Finder about 100 (measured on Thursday 8 October 2026), so a week of both portals takes about 40 requests and four to six minutes.
- Filters other than the dates are applied by the actor on each notice, because the APIs only filter by date: a narrow search over months still reads every notice of that period (fast, but not instant) and you pay only for the matching notices.
- If a portal stops answering, the other one is still read and the run summary says which one failed.
- The run stops 90 seconds before its timeout with the summary and the Only new rows memory saved; for long periods raise the timeout or split the dates.
Data source
The data comes from the public OCDS APIs of Find a Tender and Contracts Finder, operated by the Cabinet Office. No key, login or cookie is needed and neither host has a robots.txt. Every response carries the Open Government Licence v3.0, which allows reuse, including commercial use, with the source acknowledged. Each row links to the original notice. Rowcraft is independent and not affiliated with the Cabinet Office or the UK government; the names belong to their owners.
Privacy: no personal data
Rowcraft actors are built not to collect personal data:
- Contact points (names, e-mail addresses, telephone numbers), tenderers and bids are left out of every row; of the parties only the buyer organisation is kept.
- Supplier names appear only for registered organisations; possible sole traders are counted, not named.
- E-mail addresses, phone numbers and
mailto:ortel:links that appear inside free-text descriptions are removed before the row is saved.
You are responsible for using the data in line with the law that applies to you.

FAQ
What is the difference between the two portals? Find a Tender is the UK's notice service for procurements above the thresholds and, for procurements started from 24 February 2025, below the thresholds too, except below-threshold notices in Scotland. Contracts Finder lists the below-threshold contracts in England (over £12,000 including VAT, or £30,000 outside central government) of procurements that started before that date. Use sources to read one of them.
What do the stages mean? planning covers pipeline, market engagement and planned procurement notices; tender is an open call you can still bid on; award is an award decision with the awarded value; contract is a signed, changed or ended contract. Notice types (Find a Tender only) are finer: UK4 is the tender notice, UK6 the contract award notice, UK7 the contract details notice.
How do regions work? Find a Tender gives delivery places as ITL codes (UKI31), Contracts Finder as region names. The actor turns both into regions and nations; a filter of London, UKI or Scotland works on both. When a notice names no delivery place, the buyer's region is used.
How do CPV codes work here? A code or prefix covers everything below it: 72 is all IT services, 7222 the consultancy group, 72220000 the exact code. Each row has the main code with its label, all codes and the division name.
Why are some supplier names missing? Suppliers can be sole traders, who are people. A supplier name is kept only when the supplier is a registered organisation; supplierCount and suppliersWithheld tell you how many there were and how many were not named.
How far back does it go? Give publishedAfter and publishedBefore: both APIs answer by date. Long periods mean many notices to read; split them across runs or raise the timeout.
How do I fetch specific notices? Put Find a Tender notice IDs (095883-2026) or notice links in noticeIds. IDs that do not exist are listed under missingIds in the run summary and are not charged.
What does Count only do? It reads the notices of the period, applies your filters and writes the number of matches, with the cost at your plan, into the run summary. Nothing is delivered and only the start event is charged.
Can I pay only for new notices? Yes. Turn on Only new rows since the last run: the actor remembers what it delivered to you and later runs with the same state name deliver (and charge) only the new rows.
How do I get the results into Slack, Google Sheets, Make, n8n or Zapier? Use the Integrations tab of the Actor for the data, and the notifyUrl field for a message when a run ends (Slack and Discord webhooks work directly; catch hooks of Make, n8n and Zapier too).
Can I call it from code or from an AI agent? Yes: through the Apify API, the JavaScript and Python clients, and the Apify MCP server. The API tab shows a working example with the input of this Actor.
Is it legal to use this data? The actor reads the official API described in the Data source section and delivers procurement notice data without personal data. The licence of the source is described above. How you use the data is your responsibility under the law that applies to you.
Does it collect personal data? No. Contact persons, e-mails and phone numbers are removed and fields about people are never requested. See the Privacy section.
The run finished with 0 rows. Did I pay? No: with no rows delivered nothing is charged apart from the start event. Check the run summary (RUN_SUMMARY) for warnings, widen the filters, or run with Only new rows off if everything matching was already delivered to you.
