Account scraper does not scrape description succesfully
Open
Hello there, I noticed when I scrape account lists in LI sales nav with the scraper, the company description value is not included (all are empty). This is a value I would like to upload to my CRM.
Thank you.

From this view, description is not directly available
We could add the popup showed in the screenshot
If description is mandatory we would need an extra step that would make the script a bit slower (but we can do it, we need to view each company page)

You can also click on "view in search" and use this url search as input
it will allow you to retrieve descriptions

So that's maybe an optional deep-company search equivalent that's an optional checkbox like with contacts? Curious what other data values might be possible to extract on top of that. Sounds awesome for CRM data enrichment purposes, like I am doing. I also just noticed that in the CSV, the employee # is correct, but the employees range is also a solid number, where I would expect it to reflect the LinkedIn native employee group categories (e.g. 1-10, 11-50, 51-200). Why is this a static number and not reflecting the values I expect here? Thank you again (became a poweruser overnight :P)

Will be adding the popup data, and description from an extra step
employees range is what we get from the data, if you need real range, the popup data will contain a static range as expected

We updated the actor and information page
Now deep profile option works for both leads or accounts
Have a try, we stay available if any error arise

Wow, you didn't only give me some of the best tech support I received in a long while, you fixed 2 things in the process and gave me a new feature as a user with a snap of the finger. I can now use this as I wanted to use it and will continue to do so. Will let the trial switch to a subscription. This way I get the value out of it I was looking for, thank you again. Makes a big difference. Now I also have the website etc. amazing, is the additional company data I was looking for. This was such a great experience, I will do a post about this on LinkedIn tomorrow or one of these days.
UPDATE: so I tried it and ran into a couple of things:
- I noticed for 1 run, it used 10x the normal amount of actor computing power (which is weird, for the same list)
- It stops at 275 contacts or e.g. at 175 and the list is 293, when I rerun it entirely, it does it again.
- when I resurrect a list where it stopped instead, it goes above the expected list output (all do give the url to the same search, which is weird, are more than in the list)
- Got a 1h ban on LinkedIn because it spotted automation. I reran too many runs in a very short timeframe.
- Is there a way you can time the scraping in terms of delay/scrapes x hour?
Some stuff I found on 4 and 5: https://phantombuster.com/blog/automation/linkedin-automation-tool-warning-7rSXJOYlRS7srufCtQpXrx
Also a thought, does deep-contact or deep account scraping cause automation detection to go off on LinkedIn (faster) vs non deep-contact or deep-account scraping?

Thank you for the feedbacks ! it's gold
- yes because with deep profile we have to view the company page
- weird , can you share the run id pls
- looking into it
- didn't know that but it seems logic, viewing detail page or just search results isn't the same (will add a note on input and information page to warn users)
- we can ask user for a delay between requests but then it should be user responsibility to use automation tools not too much because linkedin is against it

I meant vs other deep-contact searches so 1 on 1 doing the same multiple times, one time it spiked x10 for no reason - i think it got stuck and just continued billing/counting.
-
Run ID is 4ZvENwKbCMW77a9Ri (stopped at 175), which i did not rerun or resurrect
-
This run ID is where i resurrected it but it goes beyond the 293 results I expect (300+): ISeBLiBUpABiHNHfL

Great

I would appreciate that, because a lot of outbound tools use delays for sending actions to LinkedIn for that reason and you can choose how many per hour/day you want to do and it then spreads it out - you can typically also select a time-window when it is active to avoid it is active at abnornal hours (outside business hours, early in the morning, night, later in the evening - suspicious)
To be clear, I reran the lists too many times in a short time window to experiment and to update or check changes made after we discussed them.
Got a bit scared now, not going to lie.

So what I think of doing now is use your scraper, not the deep-contact or deep-account scraper (too much danger) to then feed it to something like brightdata.com and they use the url of the contact and company I got from you to give me the same data - via a proxy (not using my browser cookies).

Delay are in todo and checking your run ids
