How to find jobs with AI Job Finder

1. Open the Actor in Apify Console with a paid Apify plan.
2. Describe the job you want in What job are you looking for?, paste your resume in Resume text, or fill in both.
3. Set Maximum job results (1–100).
4. Optional: Enter your Google key in Your Gemini API key to use your own AI account.
5. Click Start. Jobs appear in the Output tab as soon as they are collected.
6. For resume searches, sort the results by match_score to see the best matches first.

Field	Description
prompt	Your job search in plain language, up to 10,000 characters.
cv	Resume text. API users can also send a Base64 data URL for a PDF, DOCX, or TXT file (up to 5 MB).
max_results	Maximum number of jobs, from 1 to 100. Default: 10.
linkedin_search_params	Optional search filters. The input form provides text fields, dropdown menus, and company lists. See Advanced LinkedIn filters.
gemini_api_key	Optional on paid Apify plans. Saves the $0.02 included AI fee. Google charges apply separately.

Supply at least a prompt or a cv. PDF resumes must contain selectable text (up to 20 pages). Scanned PDFs are not supported.

salary, experienceLevel, contractType, jobFunction, and industries appear when LinkedIn provides them. match_score and match_reason appear only for resume searches. The score is an AI fit assessment, not a hiring probability. applyUrl opens the LinkedIn job page, which may lead to the employer's own application form.

How much does it cost to search LinkedIn jobs?

AI Job Finder charges for each delivered job, with a small setup fee:

Resume matching adds no extra actor fee. With your own key, Google charges AI usage to your account and applies your quota. The $0.08 start fee applies to every run, including empty or failed searches. Free-plan runs stop before AI analysis or job collection, including with a Gemini key. The dataset stays empty. ACCESS_STATUS explains that a paid Apify plan is required. The start fee still applies. The $0.02 included AI fee applies once search analysis is complete and saved as SEARCH_ANALYSIS in the run's key-value store. An empty search costs $0.10 with completed included AI analysis, or $0.08 with your own key. An AI failure before completed analysis costs only the start fee. Jobs already delivered still incur result fees. Allow at least $0.12 for included AI and one job, or $0.10 with your own key and one job. Set a run spending limit in Apify Console and the actor stops before exceeding it.

Advanced LinkedIn filters

Open Advanced search filters to set the job title, location, experience level, work arrangement, employment type, date posted, or companies. The form provides text fields, dropdown menus, and lists of company names or IDs. You do not need to write JSON. Leave dropdown menus at Auto — use AI choice to keep filters from your prompt or resume. Choose Any — no restriction to remove a filter from the AI analysis. Blank text fields keep the AI choice.

FAQ

Do I need a LinkedIn account or cookies?

No. AI Job Finder reads public LinkedIn job postings that anyone can view without signing in. Your LinkedIn account is never used.

Do I need an OpenAI, Gemini, or other AI API key?

On a paid Apify plan, AI analysis and resume matching are included without an AI API key. Free-plan users cannot use this Actor, even with their own Google Gemini API key. Fill in Your Gemini API key to use your own key. Your key goes directly to Google for Gemini Flash analysis. Apify stores the key as a secret input field. The actor does not include it in job results or application logs. An invalid key stops the run. Check the key, Google billing, and quota before retrying.

Why did I get fewer jobs than I asked for?

The search may have fewer matching postings, or LinkedIn may limit requests. Each run checks up to 10 search pages within a 5-minute limit. The $0.02 fee applies only to delivered jobs. Try a broader job title, a larger location, or a longer date range.

Is my resume stored?

Your resume is used for search and matching only. It is not copied into the job results. Resume text and job descriptions go to the AI service for analysis. With your own key, those requests go directly to Google. Like any Apify input, it stays in your run's input storage under your account until you delete the run.

Is it legal to scrape LinkedIn job postings?

AI Job Finder collects only publicly available job postings and does not log in or access private profiles. Check your local regulations and LinkedIn's terms before using the data commercially. Read more in Apify's guide: Is web scraping legal?
