What does Google Flights Scraper do?
Google Flights Scraper turns a Google Flights search into clean rows of data. Give it a route and a departure date (or a whole date range, or lists of airports) and it returns every itinerary Google Flights lists: airlines, flight numbers, departure and arrival times, total duration, number of stops, layover airports and minutes, price, CO2 estimate and Google's price level for that search (low, typical or high).
It works like a Google Flights API: plain HTTP requests, no browser, no Google account and no proxy to manage. Run it from Apify Console, the Apify API, a schedule, MCP, Make, Zapier or n8n. You pay $0.015 per route search that finds flights, whatever the number of itineraries; searches with no flights are free.
Not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google. Google Flights is a trademark of Google LLC.
Why use it?
- 📉 Fare monitoring: schedule the same routes daily or weekly with relative dates (
"+30 days") and log how the cheapest fare and each flight's price move. - 🧳 Travel agencies and trip planners: pull all options for a client's route and dates into a sheet, filtered by cabin, stops and passenger count.
- 📊 Price-trend and airline analysis: compare carriers, nonstop share, durations and fares across routes, countries and seasons.
- 🗓️ Cheapest-date search: run one route over a date range and pick the cheapest departure day from the results.
- 🌱 Emissions reporting: every itinerary carries Google's CO2 estimate and how it compares with typical flights on that route.
- 🤖 AI travel agents: give an LLM agent a tool that answers "what flights go from JFK to LAX on 12 December and what do they cost?" with structured data.
What data can it extract?
One row per itinerary:
| Field | Example |
|---|---|
searchId, from, to, departDate, returnDate | JFK-LAX-2026-11-20, JFK, LAX, 2026-11-20, null |
price, priceExact, currency | 215, 214.4, USD (total for all passengers; price is the whole number Google displays, priceExact the fare before rounding; round trips show the round-trip total) |
airlines, flightNumbers | ["American"], ["AA 171"] |
departTime, arriveTime, arriveDate | 06:00, 09:22, 2026-11-20 (local times) |
durationMinutes, stops | 382, 0 |
layovers | [{ "airport": "FLL", "minutes": 54, "city": "Fort Lauderdale" }] |
co2Kg, co2VsTypicalPct, typicalCo2Kg | 274, -20, 344 |
isBest, rank | true for Google's "Top flights", then the order Google shows |
priceLevel, lowestPrice, typicalPriceLow, typicalPriceHigh | typical, 160, 120, 280 (Google's "prices are currently ..." box) |
segments | each flight leg: airports, times, dates, airline, flight number, aircraft, legroom, CO2 |
bookingUrl | the Google Flights results page for this search |
tripType, cabin, adults, children, scrapedAt | one-way, economy, 1, 0, ISO time |
How to scrape Google Flights
- Click Try for free.
- Add one or more searches such as
{"from": "JFK", "to": "LAX", "date": "2026-12-12"}(add"returnDate"for a round trip), or fill from, to and a date range to search every day in between. Put several airports in from or to (JFK,EWR,LGA) to search every pair. - Pick cabin, passengers, max stops and currency if needed.
- Click Start. Most searches finish in 1-3 seconds.
- Download the flights as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML, or read them through the API.
How much does it cost?
This scraper charges per search, not per row: $0.015 for each route and date that returns flights ($15 per 1,000 searches), plus a $0.00005 start fee per run. Every itinerary Google lists for that search is included. In a 59-route test on Apify in October 2026, Google listed 8 to 71 itineraries per search (median 19).
Free: searches that find no flights, searches where Google lists flights but no prices, unknown airport codes, past dates, and pages Google blocks. Many other Google Flights scrapers on the Store bill per row (per flight) instead, so compare by the number of searches you plan to run.
Examples: tracking 10 routes once a day for 30 days is 300 searches = $4.50. A 60-day date range on one route is 60 searches = $0.90. Three New York airports to two London airports over 30 days is 3 x 2 x 30 = 180 searches = $2.70.
The free Apify plan has no extra limits here: its monthly credit (about $5) covers roughly 330 searches.
Input
{"searches": [{ "from": "JFK", "to": "LAX", "date": "2026-12-12" },{ "from": "LHR", "to": "JFK", "date": "+45 days", "returnDate": "+52 days" }],"cabin": "economy","adults": 1,"maxStops": "any","currency": "USD"}
Date range instead (one search per day, round trips of 7 days):
{"from": "SFO","to": "NRT","dateRangeStart": "2026-12-01","dateRangeEnd": "2026-12-31","tripType": "round-trip","tripLengthDays": 7}
Several origins and destinations at once, every pair for every date:
{"from": "JFK,EWR,LGA","to": "LHR,LGW","dateRangeStart": "+30 days","dateRangeEnd": "+59 days"}
Up to 500 searches per run (searches over the limit are skipped and logged, never charged). Airport lists also work inside searches: {"from": "JFK,EWR", "to": "LAX", "date": "2026-12-12"}. Dates can be absolute (2026-12-12) or relative to the day the run starts ("+30 days", "2 weeks"), so a scheduled run always looks the same distance ahead.
Output
{"searchId": "JFK-LAX-2026-11-20","from": "JFK","to": "LAX","departDate": "2026-11-20","returnDate": null,"rank": 4,"isBest": false,"price": 160,"priceExact": 159.21,"currency": "USD","airlines": ["JetBlue"],"flightNumbers": ["B6 1301", "B6 101"],"departTime": "16:54","arriveTime": "23:50","arriveDate": "2026-11-20","durationMinutes": 596,"stops": 1,"layovers": [{ "airport": "FLL", "minutes": 54, "city": "Fort Lauderdale" }],"co2Kg": 549,"co2VsTypicalPct": 60,"typicalCo2Kg": 344,"priceLevel": "typical","lowestPrice": 160,"typicalPriceLow": 120,"typicalPriceHigh": 280,"tripType": "one-way","cabin": "economy","adults": 1,"children": 0,"segments": [{ "from": "JFK", "to": "FLL", "departTime": "16:54", "arriveTime": "20:05", "airline": "JetBlue", "flightNumber": "B6 1301", "aircraft": "Airbus A321", "legroom": "32 in", "co2Kg": 165 }],"bookingUrl": "(the Google Flights results page for this search)","error": null}
A search that fails gives one free row with from, to, departDate and an error message. You can download the dataset as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML.
Tips
- Round trips: the rows are the outbound options, each priced at Google's round-trip total for the cheapest matching return. Return-flight details are not included.
- Prices for groups:
priceis the total for all adults and children in the search. - Point of sale:
country(gl) andcurrencychange the market Google prices for; fares can differ between countries. If Google doesn't support a currency code it prices in USD, and thecurrencyfield always shows the currency actually used. - Cheapest day: run a date range, then sort the rows by
priceor keep thelowestPriceof eachsearchId. - Schedules: use relative dates and an Apify schedule to build a daily fare history without editing the input.
- If Apify returns a concurrent-run limit error when you start many runs at once, wait 60 seconds and start the run again.
Use it with AI agents (MCP)
Give Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client this Actor as a tool through Apify's MCP server: add https://mcp.apify.com?tools=tenfoldfleet/google-flights-scraper as a remote MCP server and sign in with your Apify account. The agent fills in the input, runs the Actor and reads the flights itself; you pay the same per-search price as a normal run.
FAQ
Which airports can I use?
Any airport Google Flights knows, by its 3-letter IATA code (JFK, LHR, NRT, SYD). City names are not accepted; list the airports instead, separated by commas (JFK,EWR,LGA for New York).
How far ahead can I search?
Google Flights sells about 11 months ahead. Dates further out, and dates in the past, return a free error row.
Can I book through it?
No. It reads public search results. bookingUrl opens the same search on Google Flights, where you can pick a fare and continue to the airline or agent.
Why is price sometimes empty?
Google occasionally lists a flight with "price unavailable". The row is still included so the schedule is complete.
Does it need a proxy?
No. Requests go out directly. If Google rate-limits a request, it is retried through Apify Proxy automatically when your plan includes it. If Google blocks 15 searches in a row, the run stops early instead of retrying the rest, and none of them is charged.
