• Lookup is by tax code only. Vietnam's National Business Registration Portal is an ASP.NET form with no programmatic search, so a name query fails with a clear message.
• 13-digit codes are branches of the 10-digit parent; isBranch and parentTaxCode make the relationship explicit.
• Status wording is Vietnamese — NNT đang hoạt động (operating) maps to active, tạm ngừng (suspended) to inactive, and dissolution wording to dissolved.
• Read through VietQR's free business endpoint, which mirrors the General Department of Taxation's public record.
• Queries that match nothing are still pushed as { query, error }, so a partial run is never silent.
