⚙️ Sample inputs
This is the Store example input — the same input Apify's automated check runs — so it is proven to return rows on the current build. Paste it into the input form, or send it through the API, CLI or a schedule:
{"loanProgram": "7a","period": "2020-present","states": ["CA"],"fiscalYears": [],"naicsPrefixes": [],"max_results": 1000}
🔧 Input reference
| Field | Type | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
loanProgram | string (7a, 504) | "7a" | Which SBA program to pull. 7(a) = general small-business loans (largest dataset). 504 = CDC/504 fixed-asset loans (real estate & equipment). |
period | string (2020-present, 2010-2019, 2000-2009, 1991-1999, 2010-present, 1991-2009) | "2020-present" | SBA segments the data into files by era. 'Recent' (FY2020-Present for 7a / FY2010-Present for 504) is best for current leads. Older files are large and historical. |
states | array | ["CA"] | Two-letter state codes to filter borrowers by (e.g. ['CA','TX']). Empty = all states. Narrowing by state makes runs much faster and cheaper. |
fiscalYears | array | [] | Filter by SBA approval fiscal year (e.g. ['2024','2025']). Empty = all years in the selected file. |
minGrossApproval | integer | Only loans with gross approval at or above this amount. | |
maxGrossApproval | integer | Only loans with gross approval at or below this amount. | |
naicsPrefixes | array | [] | Filter by industry using NAICS code prefixes (e.g. ['72'] for accommodation & food services, ['23'] for construction). Matches codes that start with any prefix. Empty = all indust… |
lenderName | string | Only loans where the lender (bank / CDC) name contains this text (case-insensitive). Empty = all lenders. | |
businessType | string | Filter by business type text (e.g. 'Corporation', 'Individual', 'Partnership'). Case-insensitive substring. Empty = all. | |
minJobsSupported | integer | Only loans reporting at least this many jobs supported. | |
max_results | integer | 1000 | Maximum loan-recipient leads to return per run. Loans come newest approval first (the SBA file is read from its most recent end), and the Actor stops as soon as this many matches are found. |
include_raw | boolean | false | Attach the raw SBA CSV row to each lead. |
notionConnector | string | Optional. Connect your Notion workspace and the leads are also written as a Notion page in the same run. Paste your Notion MCP connector ID. The Actor never sees your Notion crede… | |
notionParentId | string | Optional. The Notion page ID to create the results page under. If blank, Notion creates it at the workspace root. | |
supabaseConnector | string | Optional. Connect your own Supabase project and results are also inserted as JSONB rows. Paste your Supabase MCP connector ID (write + project scoped). | |
supabaseTable | string | Target table in the public schema (created if missing, with id, a jsonb data column, and scraped_at). | |
supabaseProjectId | string | Your Supabase project reference (e.g. abcdefghijklmnop). Required unless your connector is already project-scoped. | |
deliveryDedup | boolean | true | When on (default), records already delivered to Notion/Supabase in a previous run are not delivered again. |
proxyConfiguration | object | {} | Optional. SBA open data is public US-government data; a proxy is not required. Leave default. |

💰 Pricing
| Event | Price (USD) | When it is charged |
|---|---|---|
Actor Start (apify-actor-start) | $0.2 | Charged when the Actor starts running. Number of events charged depends on Actor memory (one event per GB, minimum one event). |
Lead returned (apify-default-dataset-item) | $0.05 | Charged per lead record returned to the dataset. |
Pay-per-event: you pay only for what the run delivers. A run that delivers nothing bills no result events (only the actor-start event, when the actor defines one). Example: a run that delivers 100 results costs 100 × $0.05 = $5.00 plus the start fee.

Run it on a schedule
The SBA releases this loan data as published FOIA files that change slowly, so a monthly or quarterly run is enough to catch newly added loans. New approvals appear when the files are updated; each row reflects the file as it stood when the run read it. Use fiscalYears and states to keep each scheduled run focused on recent loans in your territory. If you deliver to Notion or Supabase, keep deliveryDedup on so leads already sent in an earlier run are not sent again. Send each run's results onward with a webhook, Google Sheets, Zapier, Make or the Apify API.

FAQ
Why use this instead of the official SBA data files?
The SBA publishes these 7(a) and 504 files for free on data.sba.gov, but they are large CSV files split by era. This actor streams the file you pick and filters it by state, fiscal year, loan amount, NAICS industry, lender, business type and jobs supported. It returns clean lead rows as JSON, stops once it reaches your max_results, and can also write the leads to Notion or Supabase in the same run.
What does a typical run cost?
You pay per result, not for run time: $0.05 for each row in the results, plus $0.20 per run start (charged per GB of run memory, minimum one). A run that returns 25 loan-recipient leads costs about $1.45. Live prices are always shown in the Pricing tab.
How do I get a list of businesses that got SBA loans in my state?
Set states to your two-letter code, such as ["TX"], keep period on "2020-present" for recent loans, and add fiscalYears such as ["2025"] to narrow it further. Each row gives the borrower name and street address, loan amount, approval date, lender, NAICS industry, jobs supported and loan status.
Does it include emails or phone numbers?
No. The records carry the borrower's name and business address, not contact details. Pair it with an email finder if you need a contact address.
What is the difference between 7(a) and 504 loans?
7(a) covers general small-business loans and is the largest dataset. 504 covers CDC/504 fixed-asset loans for real estate and equipment. Pick one with loanProgram.
Does it cover PPP loans?
No. It covers the SBA 7(a) and 504 programs only.
