UK FCA Enforcement Register
The UK FCA enforcement register of final penalties — cases, firms, sectors, fines and breach categories. The final-penalties lane.
Factual public records — not financial, investment or compliance advice. Screening data is provided as-is for your own compliance program.
⏰ Run this as a monitoring subscription (recommended)
Regulatory data is monitoring data. Schedule a weekly sweep (0 8 * * 1) and catch new penaltys as they post — an always-on official-records feed.
🔎 Where the data comes from
Every row is parsed live from the FCA's own notice PDFs under fca.org.uk/publication/final-notices/, discovered through the FCA sitemap index. There is no cached or curated list: if the FCA site cannot be read, the run fails loudly rather than returning stale rows.
📊 What you get
Clean JSON, one record per penalty (full output has 12 fields):
case_id— Case idnotice_type— Notice typefirm_name— Firm nameindividual_name— Individual namesector— Sectordate_issued— Date issuedfine_amount_gbp— Fine amount gbpbreach_categories— Breach categoriessummary— Summaryregulatory_basis— Regulatory basis (FSMA sections cited in the notice)full_notice_url— Direct link to the FCA notice PDF the row was parsed from
fine_amount_gbp is null where the notice imposes a non-monetary sanction (e.g. cancellation of permission or a prohibition order); sector is INDIVIDUAL for actions against a named person and is left null when the notice text gives no clear sector signal.
Pricing: $0.10 per enforcement notice returned (Pay-Per-Event) — about 10 notices per $1, plus $0.00005 per Actor start. You are only charged for notices actually delivered to the dataset; a run that matches nothing returns 0 rows and charges nothing per notice.
