Amazon Best Sellers Scraper

Get the ranked products of any amazon.com Best Sellers list: rank, ASIN, title, price, star rating, number of ratings, main image, and for books the author, format and other formats. Works with Best Sellers and New Releases, for every department and sub-category. Paste list URLs copied from amazon.com, or just category slugs (electronics, books, toys-and-games).

Plain HTTP requests, no browser: no login, no account, no cookies. The Actor reads only the public list pages, one page at a time per list with a pause, and respects amazon.com's robots.txt. If Amazon answers with a bot check, it tries once more and then leaves the list free: it never solves a captcha.

Typical uses

  • Product research for Amazon sellers, FBA and dropshipping: what sells now in a category, at what price, with how many ratings.
  • Trend watch: schedule a daily run on New Releases and see which new products climb.
  • Rank tracking: follow the best seller rank of your products and your competitors' in their category.
  • Book market: best-selling and new authors, formats and prices per genre.
  • Spreadsheets, BI and AI agents: clean rows for Google Sheets, n8n, Make, Zapier or an MCP client.

What you get

One row per ranked product:

FieldDescription
list, listUrl, listTypeYour list, the page read, and its type (best-sellers or new-releases)
categoryDepartment or category (Electronics, Kitchen & Dining)
rankRank in the list (1 = best)
asin, urlAmazon ASIN (ISBN-10 for books) and product link
titleProduct title
price, priceText, currencyPrice shown on the list (USD) and as shown
rating, ratingsCountAverage star rating (out of 5) and number of ratings
imageUrlMain image, largest size the list gives
byline, format, otherFormatsAuthor, format (Hardcover, Kindle…) and "3 formats available" for books and media
page, observedAtList page (1 or 2) and when it was read (UTC)

Missing values are always null, never guessed (some products show no price on the list, e.g. when only other sellers offer them). A list without products (or blocked, or unreadable) gets one free row with found: false, a status and a message.

Ranks: Amazon puts 30 products of each page of 50 in the page itself and loads the other 20 later with its script. This Actor returns those 30: ranks 1-30 (page 1) and 51-80 (page 2). Ranks 31-50 and 81-100 are not included.

Input

{
"lists": ["https://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/electronics/", "https://www.amazon.com/gp/new-releases/books/", "kitchen"],
"maxResultsPerList": 60
}
  • lists: one per line, up to 100 per run: a ranking URL from amazon.com (any department or sub-category; open the list, copy the address bar) or a category slug for its Best Sellers list.
  • maxResultsPerList: 10 to 60 (default 60).

Only amazon.com (US store, prices in USD) for now. Movers & Shakers, Most Wished For and Gift Ideas are not supported yet (Amazon loads those products with a script): such URLs are listed in invalidLists of the run summary and cost nothing.

Pricing

Pay per event: one event per product returned, plus a small start fee per run.

Good to know

  • Amazon changes its lists every hour; observedAt tells you when each row was read.
  • The data are what amazon.com shows publicly to a visitor in the US, read through residential IPs; prices can differ by delivery address.
  • You are responsible for how you use the data (Amazon's terms, your local law).
