Trending-now searches and new-trends alerts/monitoring per country with the news behind them, plus interest over time, interest by region, and related and rising queries for any keyword. For SEO, content and marketing teams. No API key, plain HTTP, MCP/API-ready; pay only for data delivered.
Ship trendDetail end-to-end: every searchTerm row now always carries trendDetail (object or null) derived from interestOverTime — averageInterest, direction (up/down/stable by ±5 growth), peak, growthRate (null on a zero-start series ending above 0), volatility and trendScore (0–100). It is added to the output example and "What you get" table in the README, added to the dataset schema view, and covered by tests (normal, sparse/partial, zero-start, missing). Points with hasData false are skipped, and a spend-cap cut that removes interestOverTime also nulls trendDetail.
Add Trends + Shopping unified view: new optional inputs includeShoppingProducts (default off) and shoppingMaxProducts (default 10) put Google Shopping products (title, numeric price, original price, merchant, rating, review count) in the same searchTerm row as the trend data, with shoppingSourceUrl for every product. Shopping uses the Google SERP proxy and adds no per-product charge; failures are reported in errors.shoppingProducts.

Add geoResolution (COUNTRY/REGION/CITY/DMA, default REGION) and includeLowSearchVolumeGeos (default false) for interestByRegion, enabling city/DMA-level regional slices.
Support comma-separated regions in geo (and alias regionFilter) for multi-region slices in one run; also accept comma-separated values in trendingNowGeos. Results are tagged by geo.
Listing and README now lead with onlyNewTrending new-trends alerts/monitoring for SEO/content workflows, including an hourly webhook/Make/n8n alert recipe.

Listing and README no longer promise related topics: Google's data endpoint returns none (checked 3 Nov 2026). relatedTopics is off by default, stays selectable, and fills if Google resumes sending it.

onlyNewTrending: trending-now rows only when the country has not shown that search in the last 7 days (state in a named key-value store), with a trendingNowSummary row per country.
An empty input returns today's US trending searches instead of failing (agents send {}); every input field has a default.

Canary covers a non-US geo (IN).
Add trend detail metrics (average interest, direction, peak, growth rate, volatility, composite trend score) for search term rows based on interest over time data.
