Gemini Brand Visibility Tracker: Mentions & Citations
Does Gemini recommend your brand? Ask it your buyers' questions with live web search, newest model each run: answers, cited sites, mention rate and citation share per brand. $0.10 per answer.
Does Gemini recommend your brand when your buyers ask? This Actor asks Gemini your buyers' questions through Google's official API with Google Search grounding, and returns every answer, every source it cites, and whether each of your brands is named and whether its site is cited, with a per-brand mention rate and citation share for GEO / AEO tracking.
Always the newest model. Each run uses the newest Gemini Flash model, the one the Gemini app runs by default at that moment (on 12 October 2026: Gemini 3.8 Flash), so your tracking follows what people actually get. You can pin a model under Advanced.
What you get
For every question and run:
- The full Gemini answer.
- Every cited source in order: position, URL, domain.
- For each brand you track: named or not, its rank among your brands by first mention, its site cited or not and at what position.
- The exact model, the country used, the time, and the AI cost of that answer.
The key-value store record SUMMARY gives, per brand: mention rate, citation share, average rank and cited
position, plus the most-cited sites and the source mix (Reddit, Wikipedia, YouTube, marketplaces).
Input
{"prompts": ["What is the best CRM for a small business?", "best accounting software for freelancers"],"brands": ["HubSpot | hubspot.com", "Zoho | zoho.com", "Pipedrive | pipedrive.com"],"country": "US","runsPerPrompt": 3}
prompts: the questions, one per line, as buyers would type them into Gemini.brands: a name, a domain, or both asName | domain.com. With a domain, citations are matched on the site.country: recorded with each answer; Gemini's API does not take a searcher's location.runsPerPrompt: answers vary from run to run; use 3 or more for a stable mention rate.- Advanced: a fixed model (an OpenRouter model id), answer length and concurrency.
Output
One row per question and run:
{"prompt": "What is the best CRM for a small business?","engine": "gemini","model": "...","run": 1,"status": "ok","answer": "...","citations": [{ "position": 1, "url": "https://...", "domain": "...", "kind": "other" }],"citedDomains": ["..."],"brands": [{ "brand": "HubSpot", "domain": "hubspot.com", "mentioned": true, "mentionRank": 1, "cited": false, "citedPosition": null }],"mentionedBrands": ["HubSpot", "Zoho", "Pipedrive"],"aiCostUsd": 0.03,"charged": true}

FAQ
Is this what people see in the Gemini app? It is Google's official API with Google Search grounding: the same model and search Google offers to developers. The consumer app can differ (memory, personalisation, its own interface). This Actor does not log in to or scrape any app.
Why do some Gemini answers have no sources? Gemini decides for itself when to search. For many software and
"best tool" questions it answers from its own knowledge without searching (12 October 2026: no sources for CRM and
project-management questions; 5 to 8 sources for running shoes and car insurance). Those answers are still returned,
with the brands Gemini names, as status zero-cite: what Gemini recommends without looking anything up is part of your
visibility.
Why do answers change between runs? AI answers are sampled. Track the same questions weekly with 3 or more runs and watch the mention rate rather than one answer.
How long does an answer take? about 15 seconds.
