Input
| Field | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
searchQueries | – | Searches as you would type them in Google Maps, one per line. |
locations | – | Optional cities or areas; every search runs in each. |
countryCode | us | Country Google uses for regional results, e.g. gb, ae. |
language | en | Language of names and categories. |
includeSocialOnly | true | Keep listings whose only link is a Facebook, Instagram or similar page, marked social page only. |
minRating | – | Skip places rated below this (0 to 5). Unrated places are skipped too. |
minReviews | – | Skip places with fewer Google reviews than this. Places with no review count are skipped too. |
requirePhone | false | Keep only places with a phone number on their listing. |
maxItems | 20 | Leads per search, up to 500. The run stops early when Google Maps runs out of places. |
Example (the input behind the output below):
{ "searchQueries": ["plumbers"], "locations": ["Cairo"], "maxItems": 10 }
Output
One row per lead. A real row from that run (opening hours shortened):
{"name": "شركة السميح للأدوات الصحية","category": "Plumbing supply store","categories": ["Plumbing supply store"],"phone": "+20 2 25884043","phoneInternational": "+20225884043","address": "7 ش Kasr Al Loloa, Al Fagalah, Al Azbakeya, Cairo Governorate 4320320, Egypt","street": "7 ش Kasr Al Loloa","city": "Al Azbakeya, Egypt","neighborhood": "Al Fagalah","countryCode": "EG","rating": 5,"reviewsCount": 3,"socialUrl": null,"leadReason": "no website","googleMapsUrl": "https://www.google.com/maps/place/?q=place_id:ChIJlXdrCQBBWBQRaYEz5wJGR9o","placeId": "ChIJlXdrCQBBWBQRaYEz5wJGR9o","cid": "12815131939489870531","latitude": 30.060913499999998,"longitude": 31.2509089,"openingHours": { "Thursday": "9:30 AM–7 PM", "...": "..." },"timezone": "Africa/Cairo","searchQuery": "plumbers in Cairo"}
socialUrl holds the social page for social page only leads. Google Maps matches searches loosely: the plumbers search above also returned plumbing supply shops, so check the category column.

How many leads to expect
The share of places without a website depends on the trade and the city. Three full searches run on 2026-10-08, with default filters:
- Plumbers in Cairo: 143 places read, 85 leads (80 no website, 5 social page only).
- Hair salons in Fresno, CA: 182 places read, 111 leads (98 no website, 13 social page only).
- Dentists in Dubai (country code
ae): 259 places read, 27 leads (23 no website, 4 social page only).
Each search reads up to about 400 places, and Google Maps listed 143 to 259 places in these three searches. Where most businesses have a website, a search gives few leads. Add cities or neighborhoods to get more.
How much does it cost?
$4 per 1,000 leads.
- 100 leads: about $0.40
- 10,000 leads: about $40
- Places with a website, duplicates, failed searches and error rows: free
- Places dropped by the minimum rating, minimum reviews or phone-only filters: free
- Social-only leads are charged like other leads
Apify's free plan gives $5 of credit every month, enough for about 1,250 leads.
FAQ
Is this legal? It reads public Google Maps listings, the same results anyone sees when they search, without logging in. It does not visit business websites, and it does not collect reviewer names, photos or personal profiles. The phone and address are the ones each business publishes on its listing. You are responsible for how you contact these businesses, under the laws that apply to you, such as GDPR and PECR in the UK and EU, or TCPA rules in the US.
What counts as no website? A Google Maps listing with no website link. With "Include social-only businesses" on (the default), a listing whose only link is a social or directory page (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, Linktree, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Yelp, business.site or Google Sites) is also kept. It is marked social page only, and that page is in socialUrl. Google Maps does not always show a website that exists, so some leads may have one.
Why did I get fewer leads than maxItems? Google Maps lists a limited number of places per search (143 to 259 in the three searches above), and only the places without a website become leads (27 to 111 in those searches). The run stops when Google Maps runs out of places, and the log says so. maxItems applies to each search separately. To get more leads, add locations, split a big city into neighborhoods, or run related trade names as separate searches. Minimum rating, minimum reviews and phone-only also lower the count.
