Get Norwegian companies from the Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities (Enhetsregisteret), the official register of every company, partnership, association and public body in Norway, kept by the Brønnøysund Register Centre. This Norway company scraper reads the register's open API, so it is fast, complete and does not break when a web page changes. Each entity comes back as one flat row: organisation number, name, legal form, industry codes, employees, share capital, website, business and postal address, VAT and register status, bankruptcy and liquidation, as JSON, CSV or Excel.
Search by municipality or county, industry code, name, legal form, size, status and dates, or look up a list of organisation numbers. Schedule it with Only new rows to get every new company in your region and industry, every day, for the price of the new rows.

What you get
One row per entity:
- Identity: organisation number and register page link, name, former names, legal form (code, English name and Norwegian name: AS, ASA, ANS, NUF...)
- Industry: up to three industry codes of the Norwegian standard (based on the EU's NACE) with their Norwegian descriptions, institutional sector
- Size and money: number of employees, share capital with currency and number of shares, part of a group, year of the latest annual accounts filed
- Status: registered in the Register of Business Enterprises, for VAT, in the non-profit or foundation registers; bankrupt, in liquidation or in forced dissolution, with the dates and the reason (accounts not filed, no auditor...)
- Dates: founding date, registration in the register, in the business register and for VAT, audit opt-out date
- Addresses and web: business address and postal address (street, postal code, town, municipality and its number, country), website
- Activity: the activity and the purpose in the articles of association, as registered (Norwegian)
Why this actor
- Places in plain words: municipality names (Bergen, Tromsø) or numbers, and whole counties (Vestland, Trøndelag), resolved through the register's own list.
- Every match readable: the register pages through at most 10,000 entities per search; above that the actor splits the search into windows of registration dates, newest first, so a whole county or industry can be read in one run.
- 1,000 entities per request: a search of 10,000 companies takes about 20 requests.
- Count before you pay: Count only returns the exact number of matching entities and what they would cost; nothing is delivered.
- No persons: sole proprietorships and the other forms that are a person or a person's estate are never delivered, in any mode, and never charged.
How to use it
- Open the Actor and fill in Municipalities (the other fields are optional filters).
- Set Maximum companies to a small number for a first try (the default is a safe start).
- Optional: tick Count only and start once. You get the number of matching rows and the estimated cost, for free (only the start event is charged). Untick it to get the data.
- Click Start. The status line shows progress; the run stops cleanly at your limit or at the charge limit you set in the run options.
- Open the Dataset tab and download JSON, CSV, Excel, XML or HTML, or send the rows to Google Sheets, Slack, Make, n8n or Zapier with the Integrations tab.
- To run it on a schedule, use Schedules in Apify Console and turn on Only new rows since the last run below: every run then costs only the new rows, and a webhook URL tells you when something new came in.
Input
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
municipalities, counties, postalCodes | Business address: municipality names or 4-digit numbers, counties since 2024, postal codes |
industryCodes | Industry codes: a section letter (J), a division (62) or a full code (62.100); a short code includes everything under it |
registeredAfter, registeredBefore | When the entity entered the register (2026-10-01, yesterday, 7 days, 3 months); new registrations are mostly new companies |
search | Words in the name |
legalForms, status | Legal forms (empty = all except persons); active (default), bankrupt, in liquidation, forced dissolution, any distress, or all |
minEmployees, maxEmployees | Employee range; the register refuses searches between 1 and 4 employees, so the actor adjusts them and says so |
foundedAfter, foundedBefore, vatRegistered, inBusinessRegister, lastAccountsYears, onlyWithWebsite | Founding date, VAT and business register membership, latest accounts year, only entities with a website |
sort, maxItems | Order (newest registrations, oldest, most employees, most recently founded, name, number) and limit |
organisationNumbers | Organisation numbers to look up (923609016, NO 923 609 016 MVA or a register link); the filters are then ignored |
countOnly, onlyNew, stateName, notifyUrl, notifyWhenEmpty | Count only (deliver nothing); see Automation below |
Example: every IT company registered in Oslo in the last 30 days, newest first.
{"municipalities": ["Oslo"],"industryCodes": ["62"],"registeredAfter": "30 days","maxItems": 1000}
Example: construction companies in Vestland with at least 20 employees and a website, largest first.
{"counties": ["Vestland"],"industryCodes": ["41", "42", "43"],"minEmployees": 20,"onlyWithWebsite": true,"sort": "employees"}
Output
59 fields per row. Empty values are null, never missing, so CSV and Excel columns are stable.

Results can be downloaded as JSON, CSV, Excel, XML or HTML from the Dataset tab, or read through the Apify API.

Pricing
Pay per result. You pay for each company delivered to your dataset, nothing else: no subscription, no minimum, no charge for rows your filters drop or for the requests behind them.
| Your Apify plan | Price per 1,000 rows | Price per row |
|---|---|---|
| Free plan | $3.00 | $0.003 |
| Starter plan | $2.67 | $0.00267 |
| Scale plan | $2.33 | $0.00233 |
| Business plan and above | $2.00 | $0.002 |
Example: 1,000 companies cost $3.00 on the Free plan and $2.00 on the Business plan. The Apify platform usage of a run (compute, storage) is small for this actor — well under one cent per 1,000 rows — and is billed by Apify separately, as for every Actor.
A start event of $0.00005 is charged once per run (Apify default).
Cap your spend: set Maximum total charge in the run options. The actor stops cleanly when the cap is reached and you keep everything delivered until then. The run summary (RUN_SUMMARY in the key-value store) says why a run stopped.
Check before you pay: turn on Count only to see how many rows match and what they would cost at your tier. That run delivers nothing and costs only the start event.
Automation: only new rows, notifications, schedules
Only new rows since the last run. Turn on onlyNew and the actor remembers every company it delivered to you (in a key-value store named rowcraft-norway-company-register-scraper-state in your Apify account). The next run with the same stateName skips what you already have and you pay only for new rows. The first run delivers everything that matches. Use a different stateName for each schedule or search so they keep separate memories.
Notification when the run ends. Put a webhook address in notifyUrl and the actor sends one JSON POST with the number of new rows, links to the dataset (JSON and CSV) and the run. It works out of the box with Slack and Discord incoming webhooks (the message is in text and content), with Make, n8n and Zapier catch hooks, and with your own endpoint. By default it is sent only when there is at least one new row; notifyWhenEmpty sends it every time.
Schedules. Create a schedule in Apify Console (hourly, daily, weekly or cron) with onlyNew on. A daily schedule gives you a feed of new companies for the price of the new rows only.
Integrations. Send the results to Make, n8n, Zapier, Google Sheets, Slack, Google Drive, Airtable or any webhooks from the Integrations tab of the Actor, with no code. Apify also offers native actions for Make, n8n and Zapier.
API, SDKs and AI agents. Every run is available through the Apify API and the official JavaScript and Python clients; the Actor can also be called by AI agents through the Apify MCP server. The example input in the API tab is a working call.
Count only. countOnly returns the number of matching companies and the estimated cost without delivering anything, so you can size a job before paying for it.
Use cases
- Lead lists of new companies: every company registered this week in your municipalities and industries, with its legal form, address, website and share capital.
- Market sizing: how many active companies of an industry and size there are per county, with the exact free count.
- Supplier and partner research: companies with 50 or more employees in an industry, largest first, with their websites.
- Risk and credit monitoring: companies that went bankrupt, into liquidation or forced dissolution, with the date and the reason, checked every day with Only new rows.
- Data enrichment and checks: look up a list of organisation numbers and get the current name, legal form, address, status and VAT registration of each.
Ready-made examples, each with the input filled in (open one and press Start, or save it as your own task):
- Get new IT companies registered in Norway this month
- Get new companies registered in Oslo this month
- Find Norwegian companies that are bankrupt or winding up
What this actor does not do
- Deliver sole proprietorships (ENK), people, estates or contact details: the register's telephone, mobile and e-mail fields are never read, and the person forms are skipped and counted in the run summary.
- Deliver roles: board members, general managers, owners and signatories are people, so they are not read.
- Deliver annual accounts (revenue, profit, balance sheet): the row has only the year of the latest accounts filed.
- Deliver sub-units (the local establishments of a company); each row is a main entity.
- Use proxies or solve CAPTCHAs: the open API needs none of that.
Limits and fair use
- One request per second by default. A search request returns up to 1,000 entities, so even large searches need few requests; above 10,000 matches each window of dates costs one extra small request to count it.
- The register does not publish employee counts between 1 and 4 (privacy): those entities have an empty
employeesfield, and employee ranges inside 1 to 4 are adjusted to 5 or 4. - Industry descriptions, the sector, the activity and the purpose are in Norwegian, as registered; the legal form also comes in English.
- On the register's opening days (19 and 20 February 1995) more than 10,000 entities share one date (22,658 on the 19th). The actor then reads that day one legal form at a time, and a form with more than 10,000 entities (15,668 private limited companies) from both ends by organisation number, so all of them are delivered; only a single form and day above 20,000 would be cut, and the run would say so.
- The run stops 90 seconds before its timeout with the summary and the Only new rows memory saved; for the whole country raise the timeout or split by county.
Data source
The data comes from the open API of the Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities, kept by the Brønnøysund Register Centre. No key, login or cookie is needed. The data is published under the Norwegian Licence for Open Government Data (NLOD) 2.0, which allows copying, use and distribution, including commercial use, with attribution: contains data under the Norwegian licence for Open Government data (NLOD) distributed by the Brønnøysund Register Centre. Each row links to the entity's page in the public register lookup.
Rowcraft is independent: this actor is not provided, endorsed or authorised by the Brønnøysund Register Centre, and the register gives no warranty on the data. The names belong to their owners.
Privacy: no personal data
Rowcraft actors are built not to collect personal data. NLOD does not cover personal data, so this actor leaves it out:
- Sole proprietorships (ENK, named after their owner), other individuals (PERS), individuals forcibly registered for VAT (TVAM), estates of deceased persons (BO), bankruptcy estates (KBO, some named after a person) and personal enterprises (sector 8200) are never delivered.
- The register's telephone, mobile and e-mail fields are never read; an address line that starts with "c/o" or "v/" names a person and is dropped, and a "v/ name" at the end of an entity name is cut off.
- Roles (board, management, owners) are not read.
You are responsible for using the data in line with the law that applies to you.

FAQ
How many entities are there? On 12 October 2026 the register held 1,177,617 entities: 705,192 without sole proprietorships, persons and estates, of which 692,728 are active (423,237 active private limited companies, AS). Count only gives the exact number for your filters.
What is an organisation number? The 9-digit number that identifies every entity in Norway (923609016 is Equinor ASA). With "MVA" after it, it is also the VAT number.
Which industry codes can I use? The Norwegian standard industrial classification, based on the EU's NACE: a section letter such as J, a two-digit division such as 62 (computer programming and consultancy) or a full code such as 62.100. A shorter code includes all the codes under it.
Why are some employee counts empty? The register does not publish counts between 1 and 4 for privacy, and some entities have no employees registered (hasRegisteredEmployees is false).
How do I get only new companies? Set registeredAfter to 7 days or yesterday, or schedule the actor with Only new rows: each run then delivers only the entities that were not delivered before.
Can I get every company in Norway? Yes: leave the filters empty and set maxItems to 0. The search then runs in windows of registration dates, newest first: one request per 1,000 entities plus a small count request for each window, so roughly a thousand requests for the 705,000 entities; raise the run timeout to an hour or more.
Why is an organisation number missing from my lookup? Deleted entities and numbers that never existed are not in the register; they are listed under missingNumbers in the run summary and are not charged. Sole proprietorships are counted under personsSkipped.
What does Count only do? It asks the register for the number of entities that match your filters and writes it, with the cost at your plan, into the run summary. Nothing is delivered and only the start event is charged.
How do I get the results into Slack, Google Sheets, Make, n8n or Zapier? Use the Integrations tab of the Actor for the data, and the notifyUrl field for a message when a run ends (Slack and Discord webhooks work directly; catch hooks of Make, n8n and Zapier too).
Can I call it from code or from an AI agent? Yes: through the Apify API, the JavaScript and Python clients, and the Apify MCP server. The API tab shows a working example with the input of this Actor.
Is it legal to use this data? The actor reads the official API described in the Data source section and delivers company and job data without personal data. The licence of the source is described above. How you use the data is your responsibility under the law that applies to you.
Does it collect personal data? No. Contact persons, e-mails and phone numbers are removed and fields about people are never requested. See the Privacy section.
The run finished with 0 rows. Did I pay? No: with no rows delivered nothing is charged apart from the start event. Check the run summary (RUN_SUMMARY) for warnings, widen the filters, or run with Only new rows off if everything matching was already delivered to you.
