Get a demoHi, we just had an issue in production, where the booking reviews scraper new build had some changes in payload that broke our production function that's parsing it. I noticed it's possible to specify which build we want to run, but in the UI here I only se the latest version 0.0.47. Is it possible to stay on known stable version for our production purposes? Thanks
Also, if this is possible, are there any limitation as to how old build can we use?
Hi, thanks for opening this issue!
Unfortunately no, due to our recent internal changes, we are only keeping the latest
builds that are less than 30 days old. The previous version was older than that, so that's why it got deleted.
Sorry for any problems that these breaking changes might have caused you. We've wanted to release them all at once, so that we won't have to publish anymore in the near future. Most of the changes are fairly small and are aimed mostly for more readable and parsable data, so even though inconvenient it should be fairly easy to update on your end.
Alternatively, I could also release a temporary version of the old functionality, before you migrate to the new one. Let me know if you would be interested in that :)
I hope this helps, thanks and happy scraping!
Hey Lukas,
We already migrated to the new version, we were aiming the request more to prevent production downtime in the future. Would it be possible to get a notification when a new release is about to be rolled out that affects the payload structure or any similar API consumption breaking changes?
Thank you!
I see, honestly, in this case we should've communicated the update more clearly. Especially because of the recent deletion of older builds, which made this change mandatory for everyone.
We sometimes send emails about releasing breaking changes, but that's mostly for bigger Actors and more serious updates. It's a bit problematic though because we do not want to spam you with every little breaking change, which might only affect a few users at most... Honestly, we are making breaking changes very rarely, because we try to avoid them as much as possible. Plus, specifically for this scraper that we've just overhauled, we won't be making any for the close future for sure. So no need to worry :)
