Search company names in US customs bill of lading records and get one row per US importer or overseas supplier: shipment count, last shipment date, address, and a source link. Ask for profiles and the first rows also carry trading partners, partner countries, HS codes, product descriptions, and recent shipments. Mamba Labs pays the platform costs.
Features
- Importer and supplier search. Company name terms, up to 50 a run, filtered by last shipment date and minimum shipments.
- Profiles on request. Up to 20 a run: top 25 trading partners with countries, HS codes, and product descriptions, and the latest 10 bills of lading.
- Your own links. Paste ImportYeti company or supplier links to read them in full.
- One summary row per term. Free, with hits found, rows delivered, and rows filtered out.
- Cost guards. Maximum rows, maximum profiles, and a maximum charge per run.
How the data is read
The actor reads ImportYeti's public search answers and public company pages, which come from US Customs and Border Protection records, through one Apify proxy address per run. No login, no key, and no other developer's actor. It paces its reads and stops when the site limits or refuses it. It does not change address or solve a challenge to continue.
Input
| Field | Type | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
search | array | Company name words, for example pickleball or walmart. The site matches company names, not what a company imports. Up to 50 terms. | |
company_urls | array | ImportYeti company or supplier links to read in full, up to 20 a run. | |
mode | string | importers | importers: US companies importing. suppliers: overseas companies shipping to the US. both: either. |
date_from | string | Optional, YYYY-MM-DD. Drops companies whose last shipment is older. | |
min_shipments | string | Optional. Drops companies with fewer shipments in total. | |
max_results | string | 100 | Up to 1000. Default 100. The site served about 140 rows per term in testing, so a broad term can stop sooner. |
include_profiles | string | false | true adds trading partners, their countries, HS codes, product descriptions, and recent shipments to the first rows, up to Maximum profiles. Priced as a profile row. |
max_profiles | string | 10 | Up to 20, because the site limits page views per address and this actor stops there. Each profile adds about 7 seconds. |
max_charge_usd | string | Optional. The run stops before a charge that would pass this amount. Summary rows are always returned. |
Output
| Field | Type | What it holds |

address | string | Address on the customs records. |

other_names_count | integer | Other names this company imports under. |
other_addresses_count | integer | Other addresses on its records. |
source_url | string | The company's ImportYeti page. |

Usage examples
Clay. Number and on or off inputs are text fields, which is what Clay sends. A list input takes a JSON list, so put the column inside a one item list.
MCP. The Mamba Labs MCP server @mambalabsdev/mcp-us-import-records-buyer-finder exposes this actor to Claude and other MCP clients.
Error handling
| Case | What you get |
|---|---|
| Missing or unreadable input | One free row, row_type run_summary, error_reason starting input_invalid: with what to fix. The run ends successfully and charges nothing but the run start |
| The site's page view limit or a refusal on a profile | Profile reads stop for the run. Rows go on without a profile at the search price, profile_status says why |
| The site refuses a search | A free summary row, row_status blocked, and the run ends with what it has |
| A date or shipment filter drops a company | Not delivered and not charged; the summary row counts it |
| The run is close to its timeout | The actor stops starting new work 90 seconds before the timeout and delivers what it has |
Limitations
- Search matches company names, not what a company imports:
hdmireturned no companies in testing. To find who buys a product, search words companies use in their names, then read profiles for product descriptions. - The site served about 140 rows per term in testing, then empty pages, so a broad term stops there. Split it into narrower terms;
hits_foundon the summary row shows what the site reports. - At most 20 profiles a run. The site limits page views per address, about 26 in testing, and this actor stops rather than going around it. A run may read fewer if its address has been used. For more, run again later or use ImportYeti's own paid plan.
- Records cover US sea shipments only. Air, truck, and rail are not in them, and some importers file confidentially.
- Phone numbers and emails on the site are masked or sign in only, so rows do not carry them.
- HS code pages are not read in this version: the site challenged most reads of them.
- ImportYeti's terms restrict automated access and reuse of its data. Read them and decide whether your use fits: https://www.importyeti.com/policies/terms
