Get official World Bank development indicators for more than 200 countries and economies in a clean, one-row-per-country-and-year format. Pick from popular indicators (GDP, GDP growth, GDP per capita, population, inflation, unemployment, exports, imports, FDI, government debt, life expectancy, internet use, CO2, urbanization, poverty, electricity access) or use any of the 1,400+ World Development Indicators by code. Uses the official World Bank Indicators API. No login, no API key.

Who is it for?

  • Analysts, economists and consultants building country comparisons and market-sizing models.
  • Investors and founders screening countries for expansion.
  • Journalists, students and researchers who need reliable macro data in spreadsheets.
  • Dashboard and BI builders who want a scheduled, always-fresh data feed.

How to use it

  1. Choose indicators, and optionally add other indicator codes (e.g. NY.GNP.PCAP.CD).
  2. List countries as ISO codes (US, IND, BR) or region codes (EUU, WLD), or use all.
  3. Pick the latest N years, or set it to 0 and choose a start and end year.
  4. Click Start and export to CSV, Excel or JSON.

Input example

{"indicators": ["gdp", "inflation"], "countries": ["US", "IND", "BR"], "latestYears": 0, "startYear": 2018, "endYear": 2025}

Output example

{"countryCode": "BRA", "country": "Brazil", "indicatorCode": "NY.GDP.MKTP.CD", "indicator": "GDP (current US$)", "year": 2025, "value": 2279920092492.13, "source": "World Development Indicators", "lastUpdated": "2026-10-08", "url": "https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/NY.GDP.MKTP.CD?locations=BR"}

How much does it cost?

Pay-per-event: a small fee per data point (one country, indicator and year), plus a tiny per-run start fee, with no subscription and no separate platform usage costs. For example, 1,000 data points cost about $0.30. Unknown codes and empty results are not charged. Set Maximum cost per run to cap your spending.

Use it through the API, integrations or AI agents

Run it from the Apify API, on a schedule, or connect it to Make, Zapier, n8n or Google Sheets. AI agents can find and call it through the Apify MCP server. Output is clean JSON with the same fields on every run.
