Get official public and bank holidays for more than 100 countries and any year, in a clean one-row-per-holiday format. Each row includes the date, weekday, English and local name, holiday types (public, bank, school, authorities, optional, observance), a nationwide or regional flag with the regions affected, and days from today. Optionally add long weekends with suggested bridge days. Data comes from the free, open-source Nager.Date API. No login, no API key.

Who is it for?

  • HR, payroll and workforce planning teams handling multiple countries.
  • Ecommerce and marketing teams planning campaigns around holidays.
  • Logistics, support and scheduling tools that need working-day calendars.
  • Travel businesses spotting long weekends for promotions.

How to use it

  1. Add countries (2-letter codes like US, GB, DE, BR, or ALL).
  2. Add one or more years.
  3. Optionally turn on long weekends, nationwide only, upcoming only, or pick holiday types.
  4. Click Start, or schedule it yearly or monthly.

Input example

{"countries": ["US", "CO"], "years": ["2026", "2027"], "includeLongWeekends": true}

Output example

{"type": "holiday", "countryCode": "US", "country": "United States", "date": "2026-01-01", "weekday": "Thursday", "name": "New Year's Day", "localName": "New Year's Day", "holidayTypes": ["Public", "Bank"], "nationwide": true, "regions": [], "daysFromToday": -298}

Long-weekend rows (type: long-weekend) include the start and end dates, the day count and any bridge days needed.

How much does it cost?

Pay-per-event: a very small fee per holiday or long weekend returned, plus a tiny per-run start fee, with no subscription and no separate platform usage costs. For example, 1,000 rows cost about $0.30, and a full year for one country is usually 10 to 40 rows. Unsupported countries are not charged. Set Maximum cost per run to cap your spending.

Use it through the API, integrations or AI agents

Run it from the Apify API, on a schedule, or connect it to Make, Zapier, n8n or Google Sheets. AI agents can find and call it through the Apify MCP server. Output is clean JSON with the same fields on every run.

FAQ

Is it legal? Yes. Holiday dates are public facts, and Nager.Date is an open-source project that offers its public API for free.

Which countries are supported? More than 100, including the US, UK, Canada, Australia, most of Europe and Latin America, Japan and China. Unsupported codes return a free error row.

Are regional holidays included? Yes. Regional holidays have nationwide: false and list their regions, like US-CA or DE-BY.
