Search clinical trials authorised in the European Union and EEA under the Clinical Trials Regulation, using the public EU Clinical Trials Information System (CTIS) website run by the European Medicines Agency. It covers more than 12,000 trials from 2023 onwards. Each row has the EU CT number, full and short title, status, medical conditions, therapeutic areas, investigational products, trial phase, sponsor and sponsor type, countries with the number of sites, age groups, gender, planned enrolment, primary and secondary endpoints, authorisation decision dates, last update, whether results have been posted, and a link to the CTIS page. You can filter by search term, country, phase, sponsor and decision date. No login or API key is needed.

Who is it for?

  • Pharma and biotech competitive intelligence teams following competitors' EU trial programs.
  • CROs and site networks finding new trials and sponsors by country and indication.
  • Investors and analysts looking at pipelines by phase and therapeutic area.
  • Patient groups, journalists and researchers looking up EU trials.

How to use it

  1. Enter search terms (the default is cancer), or leave them empty for all trials.
  2. Optionally add countries, phases, a sponsor or a decided since date.
  3. Set Max results per search term and click Start. The newest decisions come first.

Input example

{"searchTerms": ["obesity", "semaglutide"], "phases": ["Phase III"], "countries": ["Germany", "Spain"], "maxResultsPerSearch": 200}

Output example

{"ctNumber": "2026-526043-36-00", "title": "SAKK 18/25: Overcoming Resistance to Immunotherapy combining Gemcitabine with Ivonescimab in advanced NSCLC", "status": "Authorised", "conditions": "advanced NSCLC", "products": "ivonescimab, Gemcitabine", "phase": "Therapeutic exploratory (Phase II)", "sponsor": "Swiss Cancer Institute, Cancer Trials Ireland", "countries": "Ireland (2 sites)", "plannedEnrolment": 12, "decisionDate": "2026-10-30", "url": "https://euclinicaltrials.eu/ctis-public/view/2026-526043-36-00"}

How much does it cost?

Pay-per-event: a small fee per trial returned, plus a tiny per-run start fee. There is no subscription and no separate platform usage cost. For example, 1,000 trials cost about $0.50. Searches with no matches and error rows are not charged. Use Max results per search term or Maximum cost per run to cap your spending.

Use it through the API, integrations or AI agents

Run it from the Apify API, on a schedule, or connect it to Make, Zapier, n8n or Google Sheets. AI agents can find and call it through the Apify MCP server. Output is clean JSON with the same fields on every run.

FAQ

Is it legal? Yes. EU law (Regulation 536/2014) requires CTIS trial information to be public, and anyone can search it without registering. The tool reads only public trial summaries at a modest pace. It does not include investigator names or contact details. It is not affiliated with the EMA.

What about older EU trials? Trials authorised under the old Directive before 2023 are in the EU Clinical Trials Register, which this tool does not cover. Trials that moved to CTIS are included.

Why are statuses general? CTIS search results give a general status (Authorised, Halted, Ended, Not authorised). The detailed status per country is on the trial page.

Does it cover US trials? No. For US trials, use a ClinicalTrials.gov tool.
