Quick start (no coding)

1. Click Try for free at the top of this page. A free Apify account is enough – it includes monthly credit.
2. In Games, paste Steam store links, app IDs or game names, one per line (like https://store.steampowered.com/app/1145360/Hades/).
3. Click Start. Usually done in seconds for a few hundred reviews.
4. When it says Succeeded, open the Output tab and click Export → Excel (or CSV). One row per review (recommended or not, text, hours played, votes, date) plus a game summary row with the review score.

Common mistakes

• Only want complaints → set Review type to negative.

Scrape Steam game reviews – recommended or not, review text, date, hours played, helpful and funny votes, language and the developer's reply – for any game, filtered by positive/negative, language, date range and Steam purchases. Every game also gets a summary row with its Steam review score (Overwhelmingly Positive…), positive %, total reviews, price, developer, publisher, genres, Metacritic score and current players. Tips

• Complaint research: pick Not recommended only and turn on AI insights to get a ranked list of what players hate in your game – or in your competitors'.
• Genre research before you build: run the top 5–10 games of your genre with AI insights and compare topComplaints and featureRequests – the gaps are your design opportunities.
• Update and launch monitoring: set a date range around a patch or launch and compare the positive share before and after; schedule a daily run to catch review bombs early.

FAQ

Do I need a Steam API key or account? No. The Actor uses Steam's public store endpoints without logging in.

Are reviewer names collected? No. Reviewer names, Steam IDs, profile links and avatars are left out; you get the review itself and the hours played.

How good are the AI insights? They are written by an AI model from the review texts: great for spotting themes and priorities, but the shares are approximate – check the example quotes and the review rows before quoting numbers.

Is this legal? The Actor only reads public reviews without logging in and does not collect reviewers' names or IDs. You are responsible for how you use the data and for complying with Valve's terms.

Can I cap what a run costs? Yes – set Maximum cost per run in the run options. The run stops cleanly when the next item would go over it, and you are never charged more.
