Quick start (no coding)

1. Click Try for free at the top of this page. A free Apify account is enough – it includes monthly credit.
2. In Links, paste one link per line – a podcast RSS feed, an Apple Podcasts show or episode, an X/Twitter or Facebook video post, a Loom share, a Twitch clip or a direct audio/video file.
3. Click Start. Short videos take under a minute; long episodes are split and transcribed in parallel (a 3¾-hour episode plus 9 other links finished in under 10 minutes).
4. When it says Succeeded, open the Output tab and click Export → Excel (or CSV). One row per episode or video: the transcript column has the text, plus timestamps or SRT if you turned them on.

Cost: $0.004 per minute of speech – a 30-minute episode ≈ $0.12. Music-only, silent and failed items are free.

Common mistakes

• Pasting YouTube, TikTok or Instagram links → you get a free row pointing to our dedicated, cheaper transcript tools (listed at the end of this page).
• A podcast feed only gives you 3 episodes → raise Max episodes per podcast (newest first).
• Vimeo and Dailymotion links → not supported; you get a free error row.

Options: Max episodes per podcast (newest first), Max length per item (default 180 min, up to 600), timestamps, SRT, WebVTT (vtt), segments, and Chunk size for AI/RAG (words).

status is ok, no_speech (music or sound only – free), lyrics (a song, not speech – free), skipped (e.g. longer than your limit – free) or error (unsupported link or failure – free). Video rows also include viewCount, likeCount, authorUrl and thumbnail when the site provides them.

Pricing

Pay per event:

• $0.004 per transcribed minute (every started minute, with a 2-second grace), plus Apify's standard Actor start fee. Cheaper on higher Apify plans: $0.0038 / $0.0034 / $0.003.
• Not charged: music-only audio, songs, no speech, unsupported or private links, failures and items over your max length.

Examples: a 29-minute podcast episode ≈ $0.12; a 3 h 44 min episode ≈ $0.90; 50 one-minute Loom videos ≈ $0.20–0.40.

FAQ

Which podcasts work? Any podcast with a public RSS feed, plus Apple Podcasts show and episode links.

How accurate is it? It uses Whisper large-v3, which is very good on clear speech in major languages. Expect occasional errors on names, heavy accents and crosstalk; speakers are not labelled.

Why was a link returned as error? The site needs a login, blocks cloud servers, or the post is private or deleted. The row says why, and it is not charged.

Is this legal? The Actor only fetches public, logged-out pages and media, and some sites restrict automated access in their terms or robots.txt. You are responsible for having the right to transcribe the content and for how you use the transcripts.
