Google Trends Scraper extracts search interest data from Google Trends by keyword. It returns interest over time, regional interest breakdown, and related search queries for any keyword, timeframe, and country. The data helps you understand what people are searching for and when, making it useful for market research, SEO, content planning, and product development.

Try it free with just a keyword: enter "coffee" and you get 12 months of interest trends, top US states, and related queries like "coffee near me" and "iced coffee".

  • Understand search demand: See relative search volume over time, not absolute numbers
  • Find trending keywords: Discover rising search queries before they peak
  • Regional insights: Know which regions care most about your topic
  • Content planning: Identify seasonality, gaps, and opportunities
  • Market research: Track competitor mentions and industry keywords
  • Free data: Google Trends is public, no API key required
  1. Enter keywords: Add one or more keywords, e.g. ["coffee", "tea", "espresso"]
  2. Pick a location (optional): Leave empty for worldwide, or enter US, GB, DE
  3. Choose timeframe: Past day, week, month, 3 months, year, 5 years, or all-time
  4. Run the Actor: Click Start and wait 1-2 seconds per keyword
  5. Download data: Get JSON, CSV, Excel, or HTML with your results

Pricing

  • Cost: $0.01 per keyword
  • Example: 10 keywords = $0.10
  • Volume discount: Free plan includes up to 5,000 results/month

Limitations

  • Relative values only: Google returns a 0-100 scale, not absolute search volume
  • Aggregated data: Google Trends aggregates and smooths data for privacy
  • Rate limiting: Heavy use may hit Google's rate limits; the Actor retries automatically with a delay
  • Keyword limits: Max 100 keywords per run, but you can run multiple times
  • Minimum data: Very new or niche keywords may have no historical data
  • Update lag: Data is not real-time; typically 1-2 days behind

FAQ

Google Trends shows relative search interest, not real search volume. A value of 100 means peak popularity for your region/timeframe. It's accurate for trends and comparisons, not for absolute numbers.

Can I get absolute search volume?

No, Google doesn't publicly share absolute search volumes. For that, you need paid tools like SEMrush or Ahrefs. Google Trends is best for trend analysis.

Do I need an API key?

No, Google Trends is public. The Actor scrapes the website directly.

How often should I run it?

Weekly or monthly is typical for monitoring trends. Daily is unnecessary because Google updates data roughly every 1-2 days.

Can I use this for commercial purposes?

Yes, as long as you follow Google's Terms of Service. Don't claim Google's data as your own, and don't resell it directly. Use it for analysis, content, and decision-making.
