Get tide predictions (high and low tides, or hourly), observed water levels, water temperature, air temperature, wind and air pressure for more than 3,000 U.S. coastal and Great Lakes stations. The data comes from the official NOAA CO-OPS (Tides & Currents) API. You can use station IDs, or find stations by name and state. Predictions go up to a year ahead. Choose English or metric units and a tidal datum. No login, no API key.

Who is it for?

  • Fishing, surfing, boating and beach apps that need tide tables.
  • Coastal businesses, marinas and tour operators planning around the tides.
  • Engineers, researchers and climate analysts studying water levels and sea temperature.
  • Content creators building local tide and weather pages.

How to use it

  1. Enter station IDs (for example 9414290 for San Francisco) or names under Find stations by name (for example key west). You can add a state to narrow the search.
  2. Choose the data you want (the default is high/low tide predictions).
  3. Set the number of days and, if you like, a start date.
  4. Choose units and a datum (the default is MLLW, as used on U.S. charts).
  5. Click Start and export to CSV, Excel or JSON.

Input example

{"stationSearch": ["key west"], "state": "FL", "products": ["tide-high-low", "water-temperature"], "days": 3}

Output example

{"stationId": "8724580", "stationName": "KEY WEST", "state": "FL", "product": "tide-high-low", "time": "2026-10-28 05:42", "tideType": "high", "value": 1.92, "units": "english", "datum": "MLLW", "url": "https://tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov/stationhome.html?id=8724580"}

How much does it cost?

Pay-per-event: a small fee per reading returned, plus a tiny per-run start fee. There is no subscription and no separate platform usage cost. For example, 1,000 readings cost about $0.30. Searches with no matches and error rows are not charged. Set Days or Maximum cost per run to cap your spending.

Use it through the API, integrations or AI agents

Run it from the Apify API, on a schedule, or connect it to Make, Zapier, n8n or Google Sheets. AI agents can find and call it through the Apify MCP server. Output is clean JSON with the same fields on every run.

FAQ

Is it legal? Yes. NOAA tide and water level data is U.S. government public domain data, published through the public CO-OPS API. No personal data is involved.

Can I use it for navigation? No. This tool is not for navigation. Always use official NOAA products and local notices for safety at sea.

Why does a station return no data for some items? Not every station measures everything. Some stations have only tide predictions, and some have only water levels or weather sensors. Rows that could not be fetched are marked and not charged.

What time zone is used? Times are local standard or daylight time for each station.

How far ahead can I get predictions? Up to 365 days. Observations cover past data, up to 31 days per run.
