What is Funded Companies Hiring?
See which companies just raised money, what they are hiring for and how to reach them, for $20.00 per 1,000 hiring companies, no login.
For SDRs, recruiters and agencies who sell to companies at the moment they grow. Each row joins a new SEC Form D raise, the company's confirmed website, its open roles and its published business contacts. Your first run with the example input costs about $0.085 (2 hiring companies in our test run).
| Sources | SEC EDGAR Form D (official, public domain), each company's own public job board, and its own website |
| Job boards | Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Workable, BambooHR and Workday, found from the company's website |
| Output | One row per company: raise, open roles with links, departments, locations, contacts; JSON, CSV, Excel, API |
| Automate | Only new since last run (new raises and new roles), plain-language Slack/webhook digest, schedules, Zapier, Make, n8n, MCP |
| Price | $20.00 per 1,000 hiring companies ($16.00 per 1,000 hiring companies on paid Apify plans) |
| Login needed | No |
Daily monitor: only what's new, every morning
Set it once, get only the new hiring companies every morning. With Only new since last run on, the first run returns everything that matches; each later run returns only newly funded companies, plus companies returned before whose job board now shows new roles.
{"daysBack": 2,"sectors": ["technology"],"minAmountSold": 1000000,"maxResults": 50,"incremental": true,"stateKey": "tech-raises-hiring"}
- Paste this input into the Input tab (JSON view) and click Save as a new task; it appears under Saved tasks.
- Open the task from Saved tasks and click Schedule.
- Choose Daily, pick the hour, and save.
Cost example: tech raises of $1M+, about 5 new hiring companies a day, each with contacts ≈ $5.25/month on the free plan ($4.35 on paid plans): one run a day for 30 days, start fee included. The first run returns everything that matches, so it costs more.
Add a Slack incoming-webhook URL in slackWebhookUrl (or any URL in webhookUrl) to get a short digest of each run's new hiring companies; nothing is sent when a run finds nothing.
Why Funded Companies Hiring users pick this one
- One row answers three questions. The raise, the open roles and the company's contacts, joined by us.
- Seven job-board systems read. Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Workable, BambooHR and Workday.
- Alerts, not dumps. Monitor mode returns only new raises and roles that were not open before.
- Pay for hiring companies only. Funded companies with no readable open roles are not charged by default.
- Slack digest in plain words. Who raised how much and what they are hiring for.
Get started in 3 steps
- Set 'Filed in the last N days' and 'Max companies'. By default only funded companies with open roles are returned, biggest raises first.
- Optionally narrow it by sector, state or minimum amount raised, keep 'Add business contacts' on, and turn on 'Only new since last run' for a monitor.
- Click Start, then download JSON, CSV or Excel, or schedule it daily and send the digest to Slack, Google Sheets, your CRM, Zapier, Make or n8n.
▶ Try it with the example input
The form opens with an example input already filled in: that run costs about $0.085 on the free plan.
How much does it cost to find funded companies hiring?
Pay per event: you pay only for what the run returns, plus a small start fee. Bronze, Silver, Gold and higher Apify plans pay less per result.
| Hiring companies | Free plan | Paid plans (Bronze, Silver, Gold) |
|---|---|---|
| 100 | $2.03 | $1.63 |
| 1,000 | $20.03 | $16.03 |
| 10,000 | $200.25 | $160.25 |
Totals include the $0.025 start fee per run (at least one run per 1,000 hiring companies, so 1 start fees for 1,000), rounded to the cent. Apify's free plan includes $5 of credit a month, enough for about 250 hiring companies without contacts, or about 166 with business contacts found for each (contacts are on by default).
You pay one company-result per company returned with its open roles. Funded companies whose website or job board could not be found are not charged (with 'Hiring companies only' on, the default), nor are filings outside your filters, funds, suppressed names or anything returned before in monitor mode. A contact-result is charged only for a company whose website gave at least one email, phone, contact page, social link or named leader. In monitor mode a tracked company whose board shows new roles is one company-result.

Benchmarks: how we compare
| Test | Input | Result | Run time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Prefilled input (first run) | Last 3 days, 2 companies, contacts on | 2 hiring companies: Legora (312 open roles) and Serval (64), both with business contacts | 39 s |
| Monitor, first run | Last 10 days, 10 companies, hiring only off | 10 funded companies with confirmed websites, 2 hiring on Ashby, 10 with business contacts; 287 filings read | 57 s |
| Monitor, second run, same memory | Same input | 10 different companies, 0 repeats; 155 filings skipped as already checked and not charged | 65 s |
| Nothing matches | 30 days, five non-tech sectors, hiring only, contacts on | 0 companies, start fee only; stopped after 203 filings and 12 websites with a clear status | 51 s |
Every row is an Apify cloud run at the default 1 GB memory; rows 2 and 3 are consecutive runs with the same monitor memory. Row 4 ran during the release audit on build 0.1.6; later builds changed only leader titles, mid-day SEC throttling and the page, not how a run that matches nothing stops.
What data you get
Funded Companies Hiring joins three public sources into one row per company. It reads the official SEC EDGAR Form D filings, the notice US companies file within 15 days of first selling shares, notes or SAFEs in a private round, and drops investment funds, SPVs and real-estate vehicles. For each operating company it confirms the website against the filing, finds the company's own public job board and reads every open role, then (optionally) reads the company's own contact, about and team pages for business emails, phones, contact pages, social links and the leaders it names there. Within each filing day the biggest raises are checked first. Turn on 'Only new since last run' and schedule it daily: later runs return only companies that are new, plus companies you already have whose job board now shows roles that were not there at the last check.

Use cases
- SDRs and account executives: reach companies in the weeks after they raise, when budgets open and teams grow
- Recruiters and staffing agencies: pitch funded companies that are already hiring for roles you fill
- Agencies (dev shops, design, marketing, HR, payroll, office space): find companies whose open roles show the need you serve
- Founders and investors: watch who raised in your sector and what they hire for next
- Sales ops: feed a CRM or Clay table with new raises plus hiring signals every morning
Use-case recipes
SDRs: a morning list of companies that just raised and are hiring
Run it daily with 'Only new since last run' on and a minimum raise that matches your deal size. Each row is a new account: sort by total_amount_sold, read departments to pick the angle (a company hiring five Account Executives needs sales tooling; one hiring its first data engineer needs a data stack) and open with the summary line. Send contacts.emails and website to your CRM; the Slack digest gives the team the same list in plain words.
{"daysBack": 1,"minAmountSold": 2000000,"maxResults": 100,"incremental": true,"enrichContacts": true,"slackWebhookUrl": "https://hooks.slack.com/services/T000/B000/XXXX"}
Recruiters: funded companies hiring for the roles you place
Keep the sectors you recruit for and turn monitor mode on. New raises arrive as newly_funded rows; companies you already have arrive again as new_roles rows only when their board shows roles that were not there before, with just those roles in new_roles. Filter roles or new_roles on department or seniority (for example director and vp) and pitch the hiring manager the company names on its team page.
{"daysBack": 2,"sectors": ["technology","health-care"],"incremental": true,"trackDays": 60,"maxRolesPerCompany": 100,"stateKey": "recruiting-tech-health"}
Agencies: a weekly prospect list by need
Dev shops, design studios, marketing and HR agencies run it weekly over 7 days and turn 'Hiring companies only' off to also see funded companies with a careers page but no readable roles. Use departments and open_roles_count to spot the gap you fill (a startup hiring its first marketer, or ten engineers at once) and contacts.contact_pages to reach the company the way it asks to be reached.
{"daysBack": 7,"hiringOnly": false,"minAmountSold": 500000,"maxResults": 200,"enrichContacts": true}
Investors and analysts: who raised in my sector and what they hire for
Run it for one sector and state over 30 days with contacts off. seniority_mix, departments and top_locations show where each funded company is building its team; schedule it weekly into Google Sheets to follow the pattern.
{"daysBack": 30,"sectors": ["energy"],"enrichContacts": false,"maxResults": 300}

Use with AI agents (Apify MCP server, Claude, ChatGPT, n8n AI agent)
Funded Companies Hiring is a ready-made tool for AI agents. Through the Apify MCP server an agent reads this Actor's input schema, fills in the input from your request, starts the run and reads the hiring companies back. You pay the same per-result price as a run started by hand, from your own Apify account.
Example prompts
- "Find US technology companies that raised at least $5 million in the last 7 days and are hiring, and give me a table with the amount raised, open roles, top departments and a company email."
- "Every morning, tell me which newly funded health-care companies in California, New York or Massachusetts started hiring, and post the summary to my Slack webhook."
- "List funded companies from the last 3 days that have open sales or engineering roles, with the job board link for each."
Claude (claude.ai and Claude Desktop)
Open Settings > Connectors, choose Add custom connector, paste https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=aurelix/funded-companies-hiring and sign in to Apify when asked. Then ask Claude one of the prompts above.
Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and other MCP clients
$claude mcp add --transport http apify "https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=aurelix/funded-companies-hiring"
Clients configured with JSON take the same URL:
{"mcpServers": {"apify": {"url": "https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=aurelix/funded-companies-hiring"}}}
A client without Apify sign-in sends the header Authorization: Bearer <YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN>; to run the server locally instead, use npx -y @apify/actors-mcp-server --actors aurelix/funded-companies-hiring with APIFY_TOKEN set.
ChatGPT
Where your ChatGPT plan offers custom connectors (developer mode), add https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=aurelix/funded-companies-hiring as a connector, sign in to Apify, and ask for the data in plain words.
n8n AI agent
Give an AI Agent node an MCP Client Tool with the endpoint https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=aurelix/funded-companies-hiring and a Bearer credential holding your Apify token. The agent can then call Funded Companies Hiring whenever a workflow step needs hiring companies; for a fixed, non-agent workflow use Apify's n8n node with Run Actor instead.
Use it from AI agents (MCP), the API or no-code
Copy this to your AI assistant
Use the Apify Actor aurelix/funded-companies-hiring (Funded Companies Hiring) through Apify's MCP server or API. Main input: daysBack (Filed in the last N days); maxResults (Max companies). Example input: {"daysBack": 7, "sectors": ["technology", "health-care"], "minAmountSold": 1000000, "maxResults": 50, "enrichContacts": true, "incremental": true, "slackWebhookUrl": "https://hooks.slack.com/services/T000/B000/XXXX"}. Each result is one hiring company with fields such as alert_type, summary, company_name, cik, entity_type, year_of_incorporation, city, state. It costs $20.00 per 1,000 hiring companies on Apify's free plan plus a $0.025 start fee per run, and needs no login.
MCP server URL for this Actor: https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=aurelix/funded-companies-hiring (setup for each client in the section above).
API
Start a run and read the dataset with Apify's REST API or the Python and JavaScript clients:
from apify_client import ApifyClientclient = ApifyClient("<YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN>")run = client.actor("aurelix/funded-companies-hiring").call(run_input={'daysBack': 7, 'sectors': ['technology', 'health-care'], 'minAmountSold': 1000000, 'maxResults': 50, 'enrichContacts': True, 'incremental': True, 'slackWebhookUrl': 'https://hooks.slack.com/services/T000/B000/XXXX'})for item in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():print(item)
No-code: schedule it in 3 clicks
Send the results to Google Sheets, Zapier, Make, n8n, Slack or any webhook URL.
- Fill in the input, then click Save as a new task.
- In the task, click Schedule and pick daily or weekly (Apify Schedules).
- Turn on Only new since last run so each run returns only what is new, and paste a Slack or webhook URL into Slack webhook URL / Webhook URL to get a digest of the new items (count plus the top 10) after every run.
Prefer n8n or Make? Ask in the Issues tab and we will share a ready-made workflow for it.
FAQ
Can I find funded companies hiring without login?
Yes. It never logs in, so you need no Crunchbase, Apollo or job-board account, password or cookies; only a free Apify account to run it.
Is there an API for funded companies that are hiring?
You can use this Actor as one. Start it with Apify's REST API or the Python and JavaScript clients and read the results as JSON (see the code above), or call it from an AI agent through MCP.
How much does it cost to find funded companies hiring?
About $20.03 for 1,000 hiring companies on Apify's free plan and $16.03 on paid plans, start fee included. The free $5 monthly credit covers about 250 hiring companies without contacts, or about 166 with business contacts found for each (contacts are on by default).
Can I export funded companies hiring data to Excel or Google Sheets?
Yes. Download the results as Excel, CSV, JSON, XML or HTML from the run's Storage tab, or send them to Google Sheets with Apify's Google Sheets integration or the API.
Is it legal to find funded companies hiring?
It reads only public data any logged-out visitor can see: Form D filings on the SEC's EDGAR system, which are US government works in the public domain, read at the SEC's fair-access pace with a declared user-agent; each company's own public job board through the board's public API; and, when you turn contacts on, the public pages of the company's own website with robots.txt obeyed. It never logs in and never solves CAPTCHAs. It returns business contact information the company publishes itself, never the executives' names or addresses from the filing. To have a record removed, open an issue on this Actor's Issues tab. You are responsible for using the data lawfully, incl. anti-spam and privacy laws; this is not legal advice.
Where does the funding data come from?
From SEC Form D filings on EDGAR. A US company raising money privately under Regulation D files a Form D within 15 days of its first sale, so the filing usually follows the raise by days to two weeks; date_of_first_sale gives the real date. Form D gives the amount offered and sold, the industry and the location, but no investor names and no round name (seed, Series A).
Why are so few funded companies returned?
Most companies that file a Form D are small: many have no website a name search can confirm, and many have no public job board. In our test runs about one in ten operating companies got a confirmed website, and about one in five of those had a readable job board, mostly the bigger raises. That is why the biggest raises of each day are checked first and why you pay only for companies returned. Turn off 'Hiring companies only' to also get funded companies with a confirmed website but no readable roles.
Which job boards are supported?
Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Workable, BambooHR and Workday, the public boards that many startups and scale-ups use. Companies on other systems (for example Paylocity, ADP, Rippling, JazzHR or a home-made careers page) get no roles; with 'Hiring companies only' off they still come back with their careers page link when one is found.
How does 'Only new since last run' work?
The first monitor run returns funded companies as usual and remembers every Form D it checked plus every role ID on the boards of the companies it returned. Later runs with the same filters skip filings already checked and re-check the remembered boards: a company comes back as a new_roles row only when its board shows roles that were not there before, with just those roles listed. A role that closes and reopens under the same ID is not reported again. Nothing returned before is charged again.
What does the Slack digest look like?
One line with the counts, then one plain sentence per company, for example: 'Acme AI raised $12.5M and has 14 open roles on Ashby, mostly Engineering and Sales.' followed by the website. It is sent only when the run found something; the same text is saved as the run's OUTPUT record and the webhook gets it as JSON with the top 10 rows.
Which contacts do I get?
Only what the company publishes on its own website: shared mailboxes such as hello@ or sales@, office phone numbers, the contact page, company social profiles, and, with leaders on, up to 5 founders, executives, VPs, heads or directors named on its team or about page with their title. Mailboxes that look like a person's private address, testimonials, advisors, investors and people whose title is only a board seat (such as 'Director' or 'Chairman') are left out; a leader's work email is kept only when the mailbox spells that leader's name.
What is charged?
One company-result ($20 per 1,000 on the free plan, $16 on paid plans) per company returned. With 'Add business contacts' on, also one contact-result ($10 per 1,000, $8 on paid plans) per company whose website gave at least one contact. Plus a $0.025 start fee per run. A daily monitor that finds three hiring companies with contacts costs about $0.12 that day.
What happens when a run finds nothing or stops early?
You pay the start fee only. Work per run grows with the companies returned: a run reads at most 200 filings and looks up 60 websites before its first result, plus 100 filings and 30 websites per company returned, so filters that match almost nothing end the run with a clear status instead of reading weeks of filings. If the SEC throttles the run, it slows down and backs off; if the SEC keeps refusing, the run stops, keeps what it found and says so. If SEC EDGAR is down for every day you asked for, the run ends with a clear message, no results and nothing charged beyond the start fee. A company whose job board does not answer is left out of that run and not charged, and the status says so; in monitor mode it is checked again on the next run.
Why is the order biggest raise first?
Within each filing day, companies are checked in order of amount sold, because bigger raises are far more likely to have a website, a public job board and open roles. Days are read from today backwards. With 'Max companies' reached, the companies not reached are not remembered, so the next monitor run picks them up.
Can I change filters without getting repeats?
The monitor memory is named after the filters (sectors, states, minimum amount, hiring only), so changing one starts a fresh memory. To keep one memory across filter changes, set 'Monitor memory name'. Changing days back, max companies or contacts keeps the same memory.
Does it cover companies outside the US?
Only companies that file a Form D with the SEC, which includes some foreign companies raising from US investors. Leave 'Issuer states' empty to include them. Companies that raise without filing a Form D are not in EDGAR, so they are not here.
Does it use proxies?
No. SEC EDGAR is read directly with a declared user-agent at the SEC's fair-access pace, and company websites and job boards are read directly with robots.txt obeyed.
What you would otherwise stitch together
- A funding database: Crunchbase Pro is listed at $99 a month on monthly billing (G2 pricing listing). It covers rounds worldwide with investors, but it does not read job boards and exports are capped.
- A contact tool: Apollo Basic is $65 per user a month on monthly billing, with contacts from its own database on credits.
- Separate scrapers joined by hand: a Form D scraper such as our Recently Funded Companies ($5 per 1,000 filings), a job-board scraper such as our Career Site Jobs Scraper, and a contact finder, then matching filings to websites to boards yourself. Form D has no website field, so that matching is the hard part.
- This Actor does the joining for you: 100 funded hiring companies with contacts cost about $3 on the free plan, plus $0.025 per run. It covers US Form D filers only and has no investor names, so it complements Crunchbase rather than replacing it for investor research.
Lawful use
- B2B use only: the data is what companies filed publicly with the SEC, what they publish on their own job boards, and business contact details they publish on their own websites. Do not use it for consumer marketing.
- No spam: contact people only with relevant, individual business messages, identify yourself, and honour every opt-out at once.
- You are responsible for complying with the anti-spam and privacy laws that apply to you, including Canada's CASL, the US CAN-SPAM Act and the EU/UK GDPR.
- Business data only: no names, addresses or phone numbers of the people named on the Form D; contacts are the company's own published mailboxes, phones and pages, plus leaders the company names on its team page.
Removal requests
Anyone can ask for their name, email or domain to be removed: open an issue in this Actor's Issues tab with the name, email or domain. Requests are honoured within 7 days: the entry is added to the suppression list that every Aurelix contact Actor checks, so it is dropped from all future runs.
Limits (stated honestly)
- US Form D filers only; no investor names, no round name (seed, Series A), and companies that raise without filing a Form D are missing.
- Websites are found only when the company name works as a .com, .ai, .io or .co domain and the site shows the filing's city or phone; most small issuers get none and are not returned.
- Open roles come only from Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Workable, BambooHR and Workday boards linked from or named like the company's site; other systems and home-made careers pages give no roles.
- A job-board role marked remote in its location text but not in the board's remote flag shows remote false; check
locationstoo. - Workday boards are read up to Workday's 2,000-role search limit; roles_complete is false when a board was read only partly.
- Monitor mode re-checks the boards of the 50 most recent companies it returned, for 'Watch new roles for N days'. A funded company returned without a job board is not re-checked later, so a company that opens its board after its first run is not reported.
- Contacts come only from what the company publishes on up to 5 pages of its own site; sites that block crawlers in robots.txt are skipped.
- Days are EDGAR filing dates counted back from today in UTC, at most 30; amounts are copied as filed, so placeholder values such as $1 appear when the company entered them (the summary then says 'filed a Form D' instead of an amount).
- SEC EDGAR may throttle or refuse busy periods; the run slows down and backs off, and if refused it stops with what it found. A job board that does not answer leaves that company out of the run (not charged); monitor mode checks it again next run.
