What does TikTok Sound & Music Scraper do?
TikTok Sound & Music Scraper collects TikTok music videos, the videos that use a specific sound or song, so music marketers, labels and agencies can see who posts with a track and how far it spreads on TikTok. Paste a TikTok sound URL or ID and get each video as a clean row: the caption, views, likes, shares, comments and saves, the hashtags and the creator's profile with follower counts. Every row also carries the sound itself: its title, artist, duration and how many TikTok videos use it. No login, no cookies and no browser. Export the results as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read them through the Apify API.
It is built for:
- Music marketers and labels tracking how a release spreads on TikTok.
- Agencies and brands looking for creators who already use a song, or measuring a trending audio. TikTok Profile Scraper then pulls those creators' profiles and latest posts.
- Researchers and analysts studying the captions, hashtags and engagement around a sound.
What data does the TikTok sound scraper get?
- The whole sound feed: up to about 3,600–3,900 videos per sound, which is where TikTok's own feed for a sound ends.
- Video stats: views, likes, shares, comments, saves and reposts, plus the caption and its language, hashtags, mentions, duration, cover image and posting date.
- Creator stats included: handle, display name, bio, verified badge, followers, following, total likes and video count for every creator, with no extra profile lookups.
- Sound details on every row: title, artist, duration and TikTok's total video count in
searchMusic, so results from several sounds stay easy to tell apart. - Flexible input: sound URLs, the part after
/music/or bare numeric sound IDs. The same sound entered twice is scraped once. - Familiar output: the usual TikTok video field names (
authorMeta, musicMeta, videoMeta, playCount, diggCount…), the same layout as this developer's TikTok Hashtag and TikTok Profile scrapers, so one spreadsheet or pipeline handles all three. - Clear errors: a sound that doesn't exist gives an error row instead of disappearing silently.
How to scrape TikTok sounds and songs
In Apify Console
- Find the sound. On TikTok, open a video that uses the song, click the sound name under it and copy the page URL. It looks like
https://www.tiktok.com/music/Love-You-So-6728562975734515713. - Add it to the input. Paste one or more sound URLs or IDs into Sound URLs or IDs and set Maximum videos per sound.
- Run and export. Click Start. When the run finishes, open the Output tab and download the results as JSON, CSV or Excel.
Through the API
Start a run and get the videos back in one call:
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/xmolodtsov~tiktok-sound-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=$APIFY_TOKEN" \-H "Content-Type: application/json" \-d '{"musics": ["https://www.tiktok.com/music/Love-You-So-6728562975734515713"], "resultsPerPage": 20}'
JavaScript, Python and MCP examples are in the Integrations section below.
How much does it cost to scrape TikTok sounds?
You pay per result: one dataset row is one result. The price depends on your Apify plan. Platform usage and proxies are included, so there are no compute or proxy charges on top.
| Apify plan (discount tier) | Price per 1,000 results |
|---|---|
| Free | $3.00 |
| Starter (Bronze) | $2.50 |
| Scale (Silver) | $2.00 |
| Business (Gold) and the Platinum and Diamond tiers | $1.50 |
For example, 1,000 videos cost $2.50 on the Starter plan and $1.50 on Business. Error rows (see Output) are billed like results. If you set a maximum cost per run, the Actor stops cleanly when it reaches it and you keep everything scraped up to that point.
Is it free?
You can try it on the Apify Free plan with a limit of 10 results per run and 5 runs per calendar month (error rows count toward the 10). The limit is set by the developer, not by Apify, and any paid Apify plan removes it. Once the 5 runs are used, a run ends straight away with an explanatory message and no results; the count resets on the 1st of the month.
Input
| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
musics | array of strings, required | TikTok sounds, one per line: a sound URL (https://www.tiktok.com/music/<name>-<id> or https://www.tiktok.com/music/x-<id>), the part after /music/ (Love-You-So-6728562975734515713) or the bare numeric sound ID. A song title, artist name or video URL is not a sound and gives a billed INVALID_MUSIC row instead: on TikTok, click the sound name under a video and paste that page's URL. |
resultsPerPage | integer, default 100 | Maximum videos to scrape from each sound. TikTok serves about 3,600–3,900 at most. On the Free plan a run stops at 10 results in total. |
proxyConfiguration | object, default Apify Proxy | Proxy settings. The default works, so change it only to route through your own proxies. |
{"musics": ["https://www.tiktok.com/music/Love-You-So-6728562975734515713","Do-For-Love-Instrumental-6928871887166507009","6981828410792216577"],"resultsPerPage": 500}
Output
Each video is one item in the dataset. The Overview tab of a run shows the key columns at a glance:

Limits, guarantees and when a run fails
Limits
- About 3,600–3,900 videos per sound is the ceiling. TikTok's feed for a sound ends there, even for songs used in millions of videos. Measured: 3,652 videos for "Love You So", which TikTok says is used in 27.7 million. Smaller sounds return everything they have, and
searchMusic.videoCountshows the sound's full size on TikTok. videoCountis rounded by TikTok (27,700,000 rather than an exact count). For a few sounds TikTok withholds the sound's details; their videos are still scraped, searchMusictakes the title, artist and duration from the videos, andvideosandvideoCountstay empty.- No repeats: TikTok's feed sometimes repeats videos across pages; each video appears once per run.
- Not included: the Actor doesn't download video or audio files and doesn't fetch subtitle text. Rows carry TikTok's own temporary links (
musicMeta.playUrl,videoMeta.subtitleLinks) where TikTok provides them. - Speed: about 1,000 videos in 75 seconds and 2,000 videos in about 2 minutes from one sound. Up to three sounds are scraped in parallel; 100 videos from each of four sounds took about 20 seconds.
When does a run fail?
A blocked run never "succeeds empty", so your automation can simply retry any run that isn't SUCCEEDED.
- FAILED when TikTok refuses too many sounds: more than 2 sounds or 20% of the unique sounds, whichever is higher. A 5-sound run fails on the 3rd refused sound, a 50-sound run on the 11th. A refused sound is one TikTok blocked, rate-limited or answered with an error, or one that failed before returning any video.
- FAILED when no video was scraped and at least one sound was refused, or when the input contains no sound at all.
- SUCCEEDED otherwise. That includes runs with sounds that don't exist (
SOUND_NOT_FOUNDrows), inputs that aren't sounds (INVALID_MUSICrows) or duplicates, a run that stopped at your maximum cost per run, and a Free plan run after the monthly runs are used up (no results, explanatory message).
The status message sums the run up, for example Scraped 20 videos from 1 sound. A FAILED message starts with a short machine-readable reason such as blocked. The run's key-value store also holds a STATISTICS record with the outcome and video count for every sound, request counts and the run duration.

FAQ
Is it legal to scrape TikTok sounds and music?
This Actor only collects data that TikTok shows publicly to any visitor without logging in: public videos and public profile information. It never logs in and can't see private accounts. Videos and creator profiles can still contain personal data, which is protected by laws such as the GDPR in the EU and the CCPA in California. Only collect personal data when you have a legitimate reason to, keep only what you need, and if you are unsure whether your use case is lawful, consult a lawyer.
What formats can I export the data in?
JSON, CSV and Excel, plus XML, HTML and JSONL. The Overview tab of a run shows the key columns (sound, creator, followers, caption, views, likes, shares, comments, video duration, posted date and link) at a glance.
How many videos can I get per sound?
Up to about 3,600–3,900, the end of TikTok's feed for that sound. Set Maximum videos per sound lower if you only need the first few hundred.
How do I track how many videos use a sound?
Every row carries searchMusic.videoCount, TikTok's own rounded count of videos that use the sound. To follow a list of sounds over time, set Maximum videos per sound to 1 and run it on an Apify schedule: you pay one result per sound per run. For the few sounds whose details TikTok withholds, videoCount stays empty.
Why did I get fewer videos than I asked for?
The sound has fewer public videos than your maximum, its feed hit TikTok's ceiling of about 3,600–3,900, repeats were removed, the run reached your maximum cost per run, or the Free plan limit of 10 results per run applied.
Can it scrape private or deleted videos?
No. Only public videos that TikTok shows in the sound's feed are collected. Deleted videos and videos from private accounts don't appear.
Do I need a TikTok account, cookies or my own proxies?
No. The Actor never logs in and needs no cookies. Apify Proxy is used by default and is included in the price.
How long does a run take?
About 20 seconds for 100 videos from each of four sounds, and about 2 minutes for 2,000 videos from one sound. Up to three sounds run in parallel.
