Get sold house prices for England and Wales from HM Land Registry Price Paid Data, the official record of residential property sales since 1995. You can search by postcode (full, outward code like SW11, or sector like M1 1), town, district or county, and filter by date, price, property type (detached, semi, terraced, flat), new build, tenure and sale category. Each row includes the price, sale date, postcode, street, locality, town, district, county, property type, new-build flag, tenure and a link to the official record. An optional free summary row gives the median, average, minimum and maximum price for each search. No login or API key is needed.

Who is it for?

  • Estate agents, valuers and mortgage brokers pulling local sold-price comparables.
  • Property investors and analysts tracking prices by postcode district.
  • Proptech and price-comparison services building local price pages.
  • Researchers and journalists studying UK housing markets.

How to use it

  1. Enter postcodes or prefixes (the default is SW11 and M1), and/or towns, districts or counties.
  2. Set Sold in last N months (the default is 6) or a date range. Land Registry data runs one to two months behind.
  3. Optionally filter by price, property type, new build and tenure.
  4. Turn on the summary row if you want quick statistics, then click Start.

Input example

{"districts": ["LEEDS"], "propertyTypes": ["semi-detached"], "lastMonths": 12, "includeSummaryRow": true}

Output example

{"price": 299995, "saleDate": "2026-09-28", "postcode": "LS15 8RD", "postcodeDistrict": "LS15", "street": "RING ROAD", "locality": "CROSSGATES", "town": "LEEDS", "county": "WEST YORKSHIRE", "propertyType": "Semi-detached", "newBuild": false, "tenure": "Freehold"}

How much does it cost?

Pay-per-event: a small fee per sale returned, plus a tiny per-run start fee. There is no subscription and no separate platform usage cost. For example, 1,000 sales cost about $0.30. Searches with no matches and error rows are not charged. Use Max results per search or Maximum cost per run to cap your spending.

Use it through the API, integrations or AI agents

Run it from the Apify API, on a schedule, or connect it to Make, Zapier, n8n or Google Sheets. AI agents can find and call it through the Apify MCP server. Output is clean JSON with the same fields on every run.

FAQ

Is it legal? Yes. Price Paid Data is published by HM Land Registry under the Open Government Licence v3.0 for commercial and non-commercial use. Attribution: "Contains HM Land Registry data © Crown copyright and database right. This data is licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0."

Why is the house number off by default? Address data in Price Paid Data comes from Royal Mail and Ordnance Survey. They allow house-level addresses only for personal or non-commercial use, or for showing property price information. Turn on Include house number/flat only if your use fits those terms. No owner or buyer names are ever included.

Does it cover Scotland or Northern Ireland? No. It covers England and Wales only.

Why don't I see last month's sales? Sales are registered with a delay, so the newest month is often incomplete.
