Get official US federal lobbying disclosures filed under the Lobbying Disclosure Act (LDA), from lda.gov (formerly the Senate's LDA system). Each row is one registration or quarterly report. It includes the client and its description, state and country, the lobbying firm (registrant) and its city and state, whether the client filed for itself, income (firms) or expenses (in-house), issue areas and codes, specific issues in the filer's own words, the government bodies lobbied (House, Senate, agencies), the number of lobbyists, foreign entities, affiliated organizations, the posting date and a link to the official filing. Individual lobbyist names, filer names and street addresses are not returned. No login or API key is needed.

Who is it for?

  • Public-affairs, government-relations and policy teams tracking competitors' lobbying.
  • Journalists, researchers and watchdog groups following money and issues.
  • Investors and analysts monitoring regulatory exposure (AI, health care, tariffs).
  • Lobbying firms doing business development: who hires whom, and for how much.

How to use it

  1. Enter client names (the default is Google) and/or lobbying firms.
  2. Optionally set filing years (the default is this year and last year) and a period (Q1–Q4).
  3. Optionally filter by issue code (HCR, TAX, DEF, TEC), a specific-issue keyword (for example "artificial intelligence"), a minimum amount or posted after.
  4. Click Start. Results are newest first.

Input example

{"clientNames": ["openai", "anthropic"], "filingYears": ["2026"], "issueKeyword": "artificial intelligence", "maxResultsPerSearch": 50}

Output example

{"filingType": "3rd Quarter - Report", "filingYear": 2026, "client": "UNITEDHEALTH GROUP INC", "registrant": "UNITEDHEALTH GROUP, INC.", "selfFiled": true, "amountUsd": 2100000.0, "issueCodes": ["FIN", "HCR", "MMM", "PHA", "VET"], "governmentEntities": ["Centers For Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)", "HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES", "SENATE"], "lobbyistCount": 6}

How much does it cost?

Pay-per-event: a small fee per filing returned, plus a tiny per-run start fee. There is no subscription and no separate platform usage cost. For example, 1,000 filings cost about $1. Searches with no matches and error rows are not charged. Use Max results per search or Maximum cost per run to cap your spending.

Use it through the API, integrations or AI agents

Run it from the Apify API, on a schedule, or connect it to Make, Zapier, n8n or Google Sheets. AI agents can find and call it through the Apify MCP server. Output is clean JSON with the same fields on every run.

FAQ

Is it legal? Yes. LDA filings are public records that must be disclosed by law, and they are published through the official public LDA API. To limit personal data, the tool leaves out individual lobbyist and filer names and street addresses, and keeps only counts and city/state.

How fresh is it? Quarterly reports are due 20 days after each quarter ends and appear as soon as they are filed.

What's the difference between income and expenses? Lobbying firms report income from each client. Organizations that lobby for themselves report total lobbying expenses. The amountUsd field shows whichever applies.

Why is the issue-code filter slower? The LDA API can't filter by issue code, so the tool checks each filing itself and pages through more results.
