Get Government of Canada procurement data from the official CanadaBuys open data files published by Public Services and Procurement Canada. Choose open tenders, new tenders published today, all tenders for this or last fiscal year, or contract award notices for this or last fiscal year. Each row has the title, description, reference and solicitation numbers, publication and closing dates, procurement category (construction, goods or services), notice type and method, UNSPSC and GSIN codes, trade agreements, regions, the buying department and end user. Award rows add the contract value, award and contract dates, award status and the supplier. Each row links to the official notice. You can filter by keyword, category, region, buyer, supplier, minimum value and publication date. No login or API key is needed.

Who is it for?

  • Suppliers and bid teams looking for federal Canadian opportunities.
  • Tender alert services and consultants feeding notices into CRMs.
  • Market analysts studying who wins Canadian government contracts and for how much.
  • Journalists and researchers following public spending.

How to use it

  1. Choose a dataset (open tenders by default).
  2. Optionally add keywords, categories, a region, a buyer, a supplier, a minimum value or a published since date.
  3. Set Max results and click Start. The newest notices come first. Schedule it daily to get a tender alert feed.

Input example

{"dataset": "awards", "keywords": ["software", "cloud"], "minContractValue": 100000, "maxResults": 500}

Output example

{"noticeType": "award", "title": "ESRI Maintenance Support Services", "buyer": "Department of Public Works and Government Services (PSPC)", "publicationDate": "2026-10-31", "totalContractValue": 1829252.65, "currency": "CAD", "supplier": "Esri Canada Limited", "supplierProvince": "Ontario", "unspscDescription": "Software; Software maintenance and support"}

How much does it cost?

Pay-per-event: a small fee per notice returned, plus a tiny per-run start fee. There is no subscription and no separate platform usage cost. For example, 1,000 notices cost about $0.50. Searches with no matches and error rows are not charged. Use Max results or Maximum cost per run to cap your spending.

Use it through the API, integrations or AI agents

Run it from the Apify API, on a schedule, or connect it to Make, Zapier, n8n or Google Sheets. AI agents can find and call it through the Apify MCP server. Output is clean JSON with the same fields on every run.

FAQ

Is it legal? Yes. CanadaBuys publishes these files as open data under the Open Government Licence - Canada. To limit personal data, the tool leaves out contact names, emails and phone numbers. Supplier names that look like a private person's name (for example sole proprietors) show as "Individual (name withheld)". This tool is not affiliated with the Government of Canada.

How fresh is it? CanadaBuys refreshes the files daily, and each run downloads the latest file.

Why are French columns missing? Only the English fields are returned, to keep the output clean.

Does it include provincial tenders? No. It covers federal notices published on CanadaBuys.
