Facebook Thread Profiles Scraper (Threads) | Followers, Bios & Engagement (2026)
From SilentFlow. Creators of Pinterest Scraper and Leboncoin Scraper, with 420,000+ combined lifetime runs.
Turn any list of Threads accounts into a table you can rank: who they are, what their bio links to, how many people follow them, and how their latest posts actually perform, one row per profile. The prefilled run returned 10 profiles in 9 seconds, from Duolingo to National Geographic, with no account and nothing to connect.
Why choose this actor?
Opening Threads profiles one by one to guess whether a creator is worth a partnership? Adding up likes from the last few posts in a spreadsheet, then doing it again next week? Using a Threads profile scraper that gives you the follower count and nothing that tells you if anyone is listening?
- Engagement on every row, not just followers. Each profile comes with the average likes, replies, reposts and quotes of its latest posts, its engagement rate, its top post and the date of its last post. On the prefilled run, every one of the 10 rows had them: Duolingo's 1,032,622 followers engaged at 0.2255% per post, National Geographic's 18,361,061 at 0.0026%, and Nike had not posted since 11 June 2026. Follower counts alone would have ranked them the other way round.
- 22 data fields filled on at least 9 rows in 10. On the prefilled run, 21 data fields were filled on every row and 25 on at least half of them: identity, bio, bio links, Threads topics, followers, verified and private flags, the activity block, both profile pictures and the latest posts themselves. Mentions, hashtags and email addresses written in the bio come as clean lists when the bio has them.
- Start from what you have: usernames or links. Type usernames (
zuck,@natgeo) or paste links: a Threads profile link, a Threads post link (the row is the profile of its author), an oldthreads.netlink or aninstagram.comprofile link, since Threads uses the same username. Both fields run together, and the same account entered twice is saved once.
Try your first Threads profile export
Paste this input into the Input tab (JSON view) and press Start. It is the prefilled input of the form: ten well-known Threads accounts, eight typed as usernames and two pasted as profile links.
{"usernames": ["zuck", "mosseri", "natgeo", "nasa", "netflix", "nike", "spotify", "nba"],"startUrls": [{ "url": "https://www.threads.com/@duolingo" },{ "url": "https://www.threads.com/@espn" }],"maxItems": 100,"debugMode": false}
Runs of this size fit easily in the Apify Free plan, so you can try the actor on your own list of creators, brands or competitors before scheduling anything. Each profile is one row of the dataset; export it as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML from the Storage tab, or read it from the API. The Profiles view shows the picture, name, username, followers, verified badge, engagement rate, last post date and profile link at a glance. The Recent activity view shows the posts read, average likes, replies and reposts, engagement rate, top post and last post date, which is the table you sort to build a shortlist.

How to scrape Threads profiles
Three inputs, from the simplest to a mixed list. Each one runs as it is.
Get one Threads profile with its engagement
The smallest input: one username. You get one row with the bio, followers and the activity of the latest posts.
{"usernames": ["zuck"]}
Check a creator shortlist pasted from anywhere
Usernames typed by hand, with or without the @, next to links copied from a browser or a spreadsheet. The run reads them all and saves each account once.
{"usernames": ["@mosseri", "duolingo", "https://www.threads.com/@netflix"],"startUrls": [{ "url": "https://www.threads.net/@natgeo" },{ "url": "https://www.instagram.com/nasa/" }]}
Find out who wrote the posts you saved
Paste post links and get the profile of each author: useful when you collect viral posts first and want to know who is behind them. maxItems caps the run.
{"startUrls": [{ "url": "https://www.threads.com/@zuck/post/Dd1MqfcG0aH" },{ "url": "https://www.threads.com/@natgeo/post/DeMbAXrDaaz" },{ "url": "https://www.threads.com/@mosseri/post/DeIqbp0lJAa" }],"maxItems": 3}
Input parameters
| Field | Type | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
usernames | array of strings | none | Threads usernames, one per line, with or without the @. Profile links work here too. |
startUrls | array of {url} | none | Threads profile links, Threads post links (the row is the author), threads.net and instagram.com profile links. |
maxItems | integer | 100 | The most profiles saved in the run. There is no other limit. |
debugMode | boolean | false | Writes detailed progress to the log. Leave off unless support asks for it. |
No field is required, but a run needs at least one username or link. Both fields can be used together: the usernames are read first, then the links, and an account that appears twice (for example as @nasa and as https://www.instagram.com/nasa/) gives one row.
Accepted formats
- A username:
zuck,@zuck,Zuck(usernames are not case sensitive, the row always shows them in lowercase). - A Threads profile link:
https://www.threads.com/@zuck, with or withoutwww., a trailing slash or query parameters such as?hl=en. - A Threads post link:
https://www.threads.com/@zuck/post/Dd1MqfcG0aH. The row is the profile of the author of the post. - An older Threads link:
https://www.threads.net/@zuck. - An Instagram profile link:
https://www.instagram.com/zuck/. Threads accounts use the Instagram username, so the row is the Threads profile with that username.
Anything else (a link to another site, an Instagram post, two words with a space) is skipped and named in the log, and the run goes on with the rest of the input.
What data can you extract from Threads?
Each row is one public Threads profile, with 28 data fields plus the time of the scrape. The fields are grouped the way you read a profile: who it is, what the bio says, how big the audience is, how the latest posts did, and the pictures.
| Group | Fields | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Identity | id, username, url, fullName | id is the stable Threads account id: it does not change when the username does. url is the permanent profile link. |
| Bio | biography, bioLinks, externalUrl, bioMentions, bioHashtags, bioEmails, profileTags | bioLinks holds every link of the bio, externalUrl the first one. Mentions, hashtags and emails are read from the bio text. profileTags are the Threads topics shown on the profile, such as "AI Threads" or "NBA Threads". |
| Audience | followersCount, isVerified, isPrivate | The follower count as Threads shows it at the time of the run. |
| Recent activity | recentPostsCount, avgLikes, avgReplies, avgReposts, avgQuotes, engagementRate, topPostUrl, topPostLikes, lastPostAt, lastPostUrl, lastPostText | Measured on the latest top-level posts the profile shows publicly. The rest of a thread (the author replying to themselves) and replies to other people are left out, so the averages describe real posts. |
| Pictures | profilePicUrl, profilePicUrlHd | The standard picture and the largest one Threads serves (640 pixels on the prefilled run). |
| Latest posts | recentPosts | Each post with id, url, text, publishedAt, likesCount, repliesCount, repostsCount, quotesCount and mediaType (text, image, video, carousel or other). |
| Meta | scrapedAt | When the row was collected, in RFC 3339 (UTC). |
On the prefilled run (10 profiles, 8 Oct 2026), 21 data fields were filled on every row, lastPostText on 9 rows in 10 (one latest post had no text), bioLinks and externalUrl on 6, and profileTags on 5. Every profile read 4 recent posts. Values a profile does not have are null, never an empty string, so a CSV export stays clean.

Advanced usage
Five recipes for the jobs teams actually run with Threads profile data. Each input runs as it is; replace the usernames with your own list.
Rank a creator shortlist by engagement, not by followers
Put every candidate of a campaign in one run, then sort the Recent activity view by engagementRate. On the prefilled run this ordering put Duolingo (about 1 million followers) far ahead of National Geographic (18 million), which is the kind of surprise a follower count hides.
{"usernames": ["duolingo", "natgeo", "nasa", "spotify", "netflix", "espn", "nba", "nike"],"maxItems": 100}
Spot dormant accounts before you pay for a partnership
lastPostAt is the date of the newest post of the profile. Filter the export on it to drop accounts that stopped posting: on the prefilled run, one global sports brand's newest post dated from 11 June 2026, four months before the run, while the other nine had posted in the previous ten days.
{"usernames": ["nike", "spotify", "netflix", "nba"]}
Watch a competitor set every week
Save this input as a task and schedule it weekly from the Schedules tab. Each run adds a dated snapshot (scrapedAt) of the followers and engagement of every account, so a simple pivot on username and scrapedAt shows who is growing and whose posts are losing traction.
{"usernames": ["nike", "adidas", "puma", "newbalance", "underarmour"],"maxItems": 10}
Add Threads data to an Instagram creator list
Influencer lists usually hold Instagram links. Paste them as they are: Threads uses the same username, so each Instagram link gives the Threads profile of that creator, with the Threads follower count and engagement next to the Instagram numbers you already have. A creator who has no public Threads profile is named in the log and skipped.
{"startUrls": [{ "url": "https://www.instagram.com/natgeo/" },{ "url": "https://www.instagram.com/nasa/" },{ "url": "https://www.instagram.com/spotify/" }]}
Build an outreach sheet from bios
Bios are where creators put their booking email, their link-in-bio page and the brands they work with. bioEmails, bioLinks, externalUrl and bioMentions give them to you as separate columns, ready for a CRM import. Run your list, export as CSV, and keep the rows where bioEmails or externalUrl is filled.
{"usernames": ["mosseri", "duolingo", "spotify", "espn", "nike", "natgeo"],"maxItems": 50}
FAQ
What does this scraper extract? One row per public Threads profile: the account id, username, profile link and display name; the bio with its links, mentions, hashtags and email addresses; the Threads topics shown on the profile; the follower count and the verified and private flags; the average likes, replies, reposts and quotes of the latest posts with the engagement rate, the top post and the last post; both profile pictures; and the latest posts themselves.
What is Threads, and why is this called Facebook Thread Profiles? Threads is the text app from Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. It works like X (Twitter): short posts, replies and reposts, and it shares accounts with Instagram. Many people look for it as "Facebook Threads" or "Meta Threads". This actor reads threads.com profiles.
Do I need a Threads, Instagram or Facebook account? No. The actor reads the public profile pages anyone can open in a browser. There is nothing to log in to and nothing to connect.
How is the engagement rate calculated?
The actor reads the latest top-level posts the profile shows publicly (4 on every profile of the prefilled run). For each post it adds likes, replies, reposts and quotes, averages them over the posts, and divides by the follower count. The result is a percentage with four decimals: 0.0483 means each post gets interactions from about 0.05% of the followers. The posts used are on the row in recentPosts, so you can check every number.
Why are following count and total posts missing? Threads does not show them on public profile pages, so no public source has them. The row gives what Threads makes public: followers, verification, bio, topics and the latest posts.
How fresh is the data? Live. Every run reads the profiles at that moment, nothing is cached. Run the same input again tomorrow and you get tomorrow's follower counts and latest posts.
Can I paste post links or Instagram links?
Yes. A Threads post link gives the profile of its author, an instagram.com profile link gives the Threads profile with the same username, and old threads.net links work as well. Links to other pages (an Instagram post, a search page, another site) are skipped and named in the log.
What happens with a username that does not exist, or a profile without public posts?
A username with no public Threads profile is named in the log and the run goes on with the rest of the list. If nothing in the input exists, the run ends with a message saying so. When a profile shows no public post, the activity fields (avgLikes, engagementRate, lastPostAt and the others) are null, and the rest of the row is still saved.
How many profiles can I get?
There is no fixed limit: one username or link gives at most one profile, and maxItems sets the most profiles the run saves. Large lists work, the run reads a few profiles at a time.
Are the links permanent?
url, topPostUrl, lastPostUrl and the post links in recentPosts are permanent Threads links. id is stable even when the account changes its username. Picture links (profilePicUrl, profilePicUrlHd) are temporary image links that expire after some days: download the pictures during your pipeline if you need to keep them.
Can I get follower lists, replies or search Threads by keyword? Not with this actor. Threads only shows those to logged-in users, and this actor never asks for an account. It focuses on what every visitor can see on a profile.

Legal compliance
This actor extracts publicly available data from threads.com. It does not bypass any login, paywall or CAPTCHA, and it never reads private posts. Users are responsible for complying with the Threads and Meta terms of service and with applicable data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, and PIPL where relevant). Rows contain personal data about the people behind the profiles (names, bios, pictures, links and email addresses they published): handle it accordingly, keep it only as long as you need it, and use it for legitimate purposes such as influencer research and business outreach that respects opt-outs. The data returned is informational: confirm the figures with the creator before signing a deal.
Built by SilentFlow for influencer, social and growth teams who would rather rank Threads accounts than scroll through them.
