Apple Scraper | App Store Apps, Ratings, Top Charts and In-App Purchases (2026)
From SilentFlow. Creators of Pinterest Scraper (#1 for βpinterest pins scraperβ in Apify Store search) and Leboncoin Scraper Ppe, with 230,000+ combined lifetime runs.
Turn the Apple App Store into a spreadsheet: every app of a keyword, a top chart, a developer or your competitor list, with its rating and ratings count, price, category, release and update dates, languages, devices and screenshots. 100 apps in under five seconds, in any country's store, no Apple account needed.
Why choose this actor?
Copying App Store pages into a spreadsheet one app at a time? Switching a scraper between modes because it takes keywords in one run and app ids in another? Getting back 30 fields when you needed the subtitle, the ratings histogram and the in-app purchase list?
- 43 fields filled on every typical row, not the 40 the most used App Store scraper declares. On the prefilled run (keyword
photo editor, US store, 100 apps, measured on 24 Sep 2026), 43 of the 45 fields of a standard row carry a value on at least half of the rows:rating,ratingCount,ratingCurrentVersion,ratingCountCurrentVersion,price,formattedPrice,releaseDate,currentVersionDate,releaseNotes,languages,platforms,supportedDevices,fileSizeBytes,sellerUrl,screenshotUrlsand the rank of each app in the results. Switch on the App Store page and a row reaches 53 filled fields, with the subtitle, the 1 to 5 star histogram, the in-app purchases with their prices, the privacy labels and the category chart rank. - Three kinds of input in one run, no mode to pick. Keywords, App Store links (an app, a developer page for all of its apps, or a chart page) and ids (the numeric App Store id or the bundle id such as
com.burbn.instagram) all go in the same form and run together. The most used App Store scraper takes keywords and ids, one mode at a time. Meta's developer link alone returned 16 apps in our test run. - A form of 8 fields, none of them required. The most used App Store scraper asks for 9, starting with a mode switch. Here the keyword is prefilled: press Start and 100 apps come back in under five seconds. Leave everything empty and the run reads the top free iPhone chart instead.
Try your first App Store search
Paste this input into the Input tab (JSON view) and press Start. It is the prefilled input of the form: the 100 apps the US App Store returns for "photo editor", in Apple's own order.
{"keywords": ["photo editor"],"country": "us","maxItems": 100,"includeDetails": false}
Runs of this size fit easily in the Apify Free plan, so you can try the actor on your own keywords before scheduling anything. Each app is one row of the dataset; export it as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML from the Storage tab, or read it from the API.

How to scrape Apple App Store apps
Three inputs, from the simplest to a combined run. Each one runs as is.
Get the apps that rank for a keyword
One keyword, one country. The rows keep Apple's order in position, which is the rank a user sees when typing the keyword on an iPhone in that country.
{"keywords": ["meditation"],"country": "us","maxItems": 200}
Read the top grossing games in the United Kingdom
A chart and a category. Rows come back in rank order, 100 at most, with the price and currency of the UK store. In our test run, the top 50 came back in under two seconds, Roblox first.
{"chart": "top-grossing","category": "games","country": "gb","maxItems": 50}
Track a list of competitors with their App Store page
Links, ids and bundle ids mixed in one run, with the App Store page read for each app: subtitle, in-app purchases with prices, ratings histogram, privacy labels and the app's rank in its category chart.
{"startUrls": [{ "url": "https://apps.apple.com/us/app/things-3/id904237743" },{ "url": "https://apps.apple.com/us/developer/meta-platforms-inc/id284882218" }],"appIds": ["389801252", "com.spotify.client", "6448311069"],"includeDetails": true,"maxItems": 50}
Input parameters
| Parameter | Type | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
keywords | array of strings | prefilled ["photo editor"] | App Store searches, as typed on an iPhone. Apple returns about 200 apps per keyword at most; an app found by two keywords is delivered once. |
startUrls | array of links | none | App pages, developer pages (every app of the developer) and chart pages of apps.apple.com or itunes.apple.com. |
appIds | array of strings | none | Numeric App Store ids or bundle ids, read 100 at a time. |
chart | select | none | Top free, top paid, top grossing (iPhone and iPad), top free Mac, new free and new paid iPhone apps. 100 ranked apps at most. |
category | select | all categories | The category of the chart: Games, Finance, Productivity, Photo & Video and 21 more. Alone, it reads the category's top free iPhone chart. |
country | string | us | Two-letter code of the App Store country: prices, currency, ratings, rankings and search results are that store's. |
maxItems | integer | 100 | Apps to deliver in total, across every input. No fixed limit beyond what Apple returns. |
includeDetails | boolean | false | Also read each app's public App Store page for the fields only the page shows. Two to three seconds per app: 50 apps took under three minutes in our test run. |
Accepted formats
- App links:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/instagram/id389801252, the same with?uo=4,?mt=8or?platform=iphone, the short formapps.apple.com/app/id389801252, and olditunes.apple.com/us/app/...links. The two-letter country in the link picks the store for that app. - Developer links:
https://apps.apple.com/us/developer/meta-platforms-inc/id284882218and the olditunes.apple.com/us/artist/...form. Every app of the developer, up to 200, in the order Apple lists them. - Chart links:
https://apps.apple.com/us/iphone/charts/6014?chart=top-free,https://apps.apple.com/jp/ipad/charts/36?chart=top-paid,https://apps.apple.com/de/mac/charts/6007. The number is the category (36 means all categories). - Ids:
389801252,id389801252, or a bundle idcom.spotify.client. A link pasted in the id list works too. - Links as objects:
{"url": "https://apps.apple.com/..."}entries, as exported by other tools.
An entry that is neither a link, an id nor a bundle id is skipped and counted in the run summary; the rest of the run goes on.
What data can you extract from the Apple App Store?
Every row is one app in one country's store. 45 fields come with every run, 12 more when includeDetails is on, 57 in all:
| Group | Fields |
|---|---|
| Identity | id (App Store id, stable), url (permanent App Store page, no tracking parameters), title, bundleId |
| Developer | developer, developerId, developerUrl, sellerName, sellerUrl (the developer's website) |
| Content | description, releaseNotes (what's new in the current version), version, primaryGenre, primaryGenreId, genres, genreIds, contentRating, advisories, features, languages, platforms, supportedDevices, minimumOsVersion, isGameCenterEnabled, isVppDeviceBasedLicensingEnabled |
| Measures | isFree, price, currency, formattedPrice, rating, ratingCount, ratingCurrentVersion, ratingCountCurrentVersion, fileSizeBytes |
| Place and time | country, releaseDate (first release), currentVersionDate (last update) |
| Media | iconUrl (512 px), screenshotUrls, ipadScreenshotUrls, appletvScreenshotUrls |
| App Store page | subtitle, ageRating, hasInAppPurchases, inAppPurchases (name and price of each item), ratingHistogram (count of 1 to 5 star ratings), copyright, privacyPolicyUrl, privacyTracking, privacyLinked, privacyNotLinked (App Privacy labels), chartRank and chartCategory (the app's rank in its category chart) |
| Meta | foundBy (keyword, chart, url, developer or id), query (the keyword, chart or link that found the row), position (rank in the search, the chart or the developer's list), scrapedAt |
Usability facts: id, bundleId and url never change for an app, so they are safe keys for a database or a join across runs. Dates are RFC 3339 in UTC. Prices are numbers in the store's currency, with Apple's own display string next to them in formattedPrice. rating is rounded to two decimals. Image links point to Apple's own image servers. A field Apple does not provide is null, never an empty string.

An app with in-app purchases lists each item with its name and the price Apple displays, in the store's currency: ChatGPT's page listed 8 items in our test run, from credit packs to its Pro plans.
Advanced usage
Map a niche across several keywords
Related keywords overlap: an app found twice is delivered once, with the keyword and rank of its first match. Four searches in one run give the map of a category as users search it.
{"keywords": ["budget", "expense tracker", "personal finance", "money manager"],"country": "us","maxItems": 500}
Compare one app across countries
The country in a link wins over the country field, so the same app can be read in several stores in one run: price, currency, rating and ratings count per country, one row each.
{"startUrls": [{ "url": "https://apps.apple.com/us/app/things-3/id904237743" },{ "url": "https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/things-3/id904237743" },{ "url": "https://apps.apple.com/de/app/things-3/id904237743" },{ "url": "https://apps.apple.com/jp/app/things-3/id904237743" }]}
Spot new apps every morning
The new paid apps chart of a category, scheduled daily from the Schedules tab, gives a feed of launches to watch or to contact. Compare releaseDate across runs to keep only first appearances.
{"chart": "new-paid","category": "productivity","country": "us","maxItems": 100}
Build a list of app developers with their websites
Keywords of a niche give the developers active in it; developer, sellerUrl, developerUrl, ratingCount and currentVersionDate separate the active publishers from the abandoned apps. Deduplicate on developerId in your spreadsheet.
{"keywords": ["crm", "invoice", "time tracking", "project management"],"country": "us","maxItems": 400}
Audit monetisation and privacy of a chart
The top grossing finance apps with their App Store page: which ones sell subscriptions, at what prices, and which data each one says it uses to track users.
{"chart": "top-grossing","category": "finance","country": "us","includeDetails": true,"maxItems": 50}
To send the rows to your team's tools, connect the run to Google Sheets, Slack, Make, Zapier or a webhook from the Integrations tab, or read the dataset from the Apify API in JSON, CSV or Excel.
FAQ
What does this actor extract from the App Store?
One row per app with 45 fields: identity (id, link, title, bundle id), developer and website, description, release notes, version, categories, age rating, languages, devices, price, rating and ratings count (all versions and current version), size, first release and last update dates, icon and screenshots. With includeDetails, 12 more fields from the App Store page: subtitle, in-app purchases with prices, the 1 to 5 star histogram, age rating, copyright, privacy policy link, privacy labels and the app's category chart rank.
Which ways can I find apps? Five, in one run: keywords, top charts (with a category), app links, developer links (every app of the developer) and ids (numeric App Store ids or bundle ids). Mix them freely; an app reached twice is delivered once.
Do I need an Apple account or an App Store Connect key? No. The actor reads the public App Store, the same data anyone sees without signing in. There is no login, no key and nothing to configure.
How many apps can I get?
Apple returns about 200 apps per keyword (181 for "photo editor" in the US store on 24 Sep 2026) and 100 per chart. A developer link returns up to 200 apps. There is no limit on the number of keywords, links or ids, so a run can deliver thousands of apps: set maxItems to what you need.
Which countries are covered?
Every App Store country, by its two-letter code: us, gb, de, fr, jp, br, in, kr, au and the others. Prices, currencies, ratings, charts and search results are those of the store you pick. An unknown code ends the run with a message that says so.
How fresh is the data? Live. Every run reads Apple at run time: ratings, ratings counts, versions and chart ranks are those of the moment the run happens, nothing is cached. Schedule the actor daily or weekly to follow how an app or a chart moves.
Why does an id return no row?
The app is not sold in that country's store, or it was removed from the App Store. The run summary counts these entries. Try the app's home country with a link that carries it, such as https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/....
Why is ratingCount different from what I see on my iPhone?
The App Store app rounds counts ("27K Ratings"); the row carries the exact count Apple publishes for the store you picked. Ratings are counted per country: the same app has a different count, and often a different average, in each store.
Are paid and grossing Mac charts available? No. Apple publishes the top free Mac chart, which the actor reads by category; its paid and grossing Mac feeds return no ranking. iPhone and iPad charts are complete: top free, top paid, top grossing, and the new free and new paid iPhone charts.
Are reviews included?
No. This actor delivers one row per app. The ratings histogram (count of 1 to 5 star ratings) comes with includeDetails.
Is it legal to scrape the App Store? The actor reads public catalog data that Apple publishes for anyone, without logging in. See the Legal compliance section below for your responsibilities.
