Reddit Profiles Scraper (reddit.com) | User Karma, Activity and Communities (2026)

10 usernames. 10 Reddit profiles. 40 fields per profile.

From SilentFlow. Creators of Pinterest Scraper and Leboncoin Scraper Ppe, with 410,000+ combined lifetime runs.

Reddit user profiles with their karma, account age and status, plus what they did lately: when they were last active, how often they post, how their posts score and where they hang out. From usernames, or from the most active members of any subreddit.

Why choose this actor?

Need to know who is behind a username before you reach out? Want the people who actually drive a community, not a list of names? A Reddit profile page shows karma; it does not tell you whether the account is alive, what it talks about or where. This actor does, one row per profile.

  • Four ways to find profiles. Paste usernames, paste profile URLs, search users by keyword, or paste a subreddit or a post to get the people active in it. On r/startups the run spotted 279 active members in its latest 100 posts and 298 comments, and returned the most active first: the top one had posted or commented 18 times there.
  • An activity summary on every profile. Each row reads the latest 100 posts and comments of the account: last active date, posts and comments per day, average scores, the five communities it is most active in and whether it was active in the last 30 days. Among the 15 most active r/startups members, 14 had been active in the last 30 days.
  • Nothing to fill in before the first run. No field is required and the form opens with ten well-known accounts, so the first run returns profiles right away: 10 profiles with their activity in 36 seconds. No Reddit account and no API key either.

How to scrape Reddit user profiles

Look up a list of usernames

The simplest case: you have names, you want the accounts behind them. Names can be written spez, u/spez or as a full profile URL.

{
"usernames": ["spez", "u/kn0thing", "https://www.reddit.com/user/GallowBoob/"],
"maxItems": 100
}

Find the most active members of a subreddit

Paste a subreddit. The run reads its latest posts and the comments of its busiest threads, ranks the people by how much they posted and commented there, and returns their profiles in that order, each with foundIn and foundInActivity.

{
"startUrls": [{ "url": "https://www.reddit.com/r/startups/" }],
"maxItems": 50
}

Get the people in a thread

Paste a post: its author and everyone who commented, ranked by how many comments they wrote in it.

{
"startUrls": [{ "url": "https://www.reddit.com/r/pasta/comments/vwi6jx/pasta_peperoni_and_ricotta_cheese_how_to_make/" }],
"maxItems": 100
}

Input parameters

ParameterTypeDefaultWhat it does
usernamesarrayReddit usernames, with or without u/, or profile URLs
startUrlsarrayProfiles, subreddits (most active members), posts (people in the thread), Reddit search pages
searchesarrayKeywords searched in Reddit usernames and profiles
maxItemsinteger50Total profiles for the run, no fixed limit
includeActivitybooleantrueRead each profile's latest 100 posts and comments for the activity summary
includeNSFWbooleantrueInclude profiles marked 18+

Accepted URLs:

  • Profile: https://www.reddit.com/user/spez/, https://www.reddit.com/u/spez, or the comments page of a profile
  • Subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/startups/ returns its most active members, most active first
  • Post: https://www.reddit.com/r/pasta/comments/vwi6jx/ returns the author and the commenters of the thread
  • Search page: https://www.reddit.com/search/?q=founder searches users for its keywords

Usernames are read first, then URLs, then searches, until maxItems profiles are collected. An account found twice is written once. Deleted, suspended and unknown accounts are skipped, so a list of 100 names can return fewer rows.

What data can you extract from Reddit?

Each row is one profile. The fields come in four groups.

Identity. id, username, url and profileUrl, profileTitle (the display name), description and profileDescription (the bio), userIcon, snoovatarImg, bannerImg, previousNames.

Reputation and status. postKarma, commentKarma, awardeeKarma, awarderKarma, totalKarma, followersCount, isMod (moderates a community), isEmployee (works at Reddit), verified, hasVerifiedEmail, isGold (Reddit Premium), acceptFollowers, hideFromRobots, over18, createdAt and accountAgeDays.

Activity summary, read on the latest 100 posts and comments of the account. activitySampleSize, recentPostsCount, recentCommentsCount, lastActiveAt, activitySince, activityPerDay, avgPostScore, avgCommentScore, topCommunities (the five subreddits where it is most active, most active first), communitiesCount, isActiveLast30Days. Turn the summary off with includeActivity: false for a faster run; those fields are then null.

Where it came from. source (username, url, subreddit, thread or search), searchTerm for a search, and for a subreddit or a thread foundIn (the community or the post) and foundInActivity (how many posts and comments of the profile were seen there).

The dataset has three views: Overview (username, karma, account age, last activity, top communities, bio, link), Activity (the whole activity summary next to where the profile was found) and Profiles (karma and status columns).

Advanced usage

Build a list of the people who drive your market's community

Rank the members of the subreddits your buyers read, then keep those active in the last 30 days. foundInActivity says how present each one is there, topCommunities where else they spend time.

{
"startUrls": [
{ "url": "https://www.reddit.com/r/SaaS/" },
{ "url": "https://www.reddit.com/r/startups/" }
],
"maxItems": 200
}

Check accounts before you reach out

Got usernames from a thread, a form or a partner? Check that each account is real and alive before writing to it: account age, karma, last active date and the communities it posts in.

{
"usernames": ["spez", "kn0thing", "Poem_for_your_sprog"],
"includeActivity": true
}

Find the experts of a topic in a thread

Paste the threads where your topic is discussed. The people who comment most are listed first, and their profiles show whether they are regulars of the field or passers-by.

{
"startUrls": [
{ "url": "https://www.reddit.com/r/pasta/comments/vwi6jx/pasta_peperoni_and_ricotta_cheese_how_to_make/" }
],
"maxItems": 100
}

Get many profiles fast, without the activity

When you only need karma, age and status for a long list, turn the activity summary off: each profile then takes one read instead of two.

{
"usernames": ["spez", "kn0thing", "GallowBoob", "shittymorph", "nasa"],
"includeActivity": false,
"maxItems": 1000
}

Track a set of accounts every week

Schedule the actor in Apify with your list of usernames and send each run to Google Sheets, Slack, Zapier, Make, n8n or a webhook. lastActiveAt, activityPerDay and totalKarma show who is growing, who slowed down and who went silent.

{
"usernames": ["shittymorph", "Poem_for_your_sprog", "Shitty_Watercolour"],
"maxItems": 50
}

FAQ

What does this Reddit profile scraper extract? One row per profile: username, bio, karma of every kind, account age, moderator, employee, verified and Premium status, avatar and banner, former names, and an activity summary read on the latest 100 posts and comments.

Do I need a Reddit account or an API key? No. It reads public Reddit pages only, the way a visitor sees them. Nothing to sign in to.

How does it find the most active members of a subreddit? It reads the latest posts of the subreddit and the comments of its busiest threads, counts how many posts and comments each person wrote there, and returns the profiles in that order. On r/startups, 279 active members were found in 100 posts and 298 comments.

What is in the activity summary? The date of the newest and oldest post or comment read, the number of each, the pace per day, the average score of the posts and of the comments, the five communities where the account is most active, how many communities it posted in, and whether it was active in the last 30 days.

Why are some usernames missing from the results? Deleted, suspended and unknown accounts have no profile to read, so they are skipped. A name with a typo is skipped the same way, and the run log lists the entries that were not usernames.

Can I search users by keyword? Yes. Add a keyword in Search users. Reddit matches it against usernames and profiles, and each profile comes with the search term that found it.

Can I get the posts and comments of a user too? This actor returns profiles. For the posts and comments themselves, use Reddit Scraper or Reddit Comments Scraper with the profile URL.

How many profiles can one run collect? There is no fixed limit: set maxItems to the volume you need. With the activity summary each profile takes two reads, without it one.

How fresh is the data? Every run reads Reddit live: karma, status and activity are those of the moment the run reads the profile.
