Delaware Scraper | Entity Search for Corporations, LLCs and Registered Agents (2026)

Delaware companies, 25 fields each, from any search.

From SilentFlow. Creators of Facebook Search Scraper and JD Products Scraper (#1 for “jd scraper” in Apify Store search), with 750,000+ combined lifetime runs.

Every Delaware corporation, LLC, partnership and trust behind a name or a file number, with its formation date and its registered agent's full contact, in one table. 20 entities in 11 seconds in our test run.

Why choose this actor?

Checking Delaware entities one by one on the State's search page? Copying the registered agent's address by hand into a spreadsheet? Stuck at the 50 names the State shows for a search?

  • 24 data fields per entity, not a bare name and number. File number, formation date, age in years, entity kind and type, residency, state of formation with its two-letter code, and the registered agent's name, street, city, county, state, postal code, phone and one-line address. Our 20-entity test run of 28 October 2026 filled 22 fields on every single row.
  • The registered agent's email and website on the same row. Each agent is matched against the Division of Corporations' own list of registered agents, so you know who to contact for the entity without a second search: 19 of the 20 entities of our test run came with their agent's website, 4 with an email address.
  • Company names and file numbers in the same run. Paste the first words of a name, an exact name, a list of Delaware file numbers, or all three at once. Our test run read 3 file numbers and 1 exact name in 4 seconds, and named in the log the number the State does not know.

Try Delaware Scraper

Paste this input in the Input tab, or send it from the API, and run. You get Apple Inc. (looked up by its file number) and the first Delaware entities whose name starts with OpenAI, each with its formation date, kind, state of formation and registered agent. Our test run on 28 October 2026 returned 20 entities in 11 seconds.

{
"searchTerms": ["OpenAI"],
"entityIds": ["3868031"],
"maxItems": 20,
"exactMatch": false,
"debugMode": false
}

The Apify Free plan is enough to run it: no credit card, no Delaware account, no API key.

How it works

Copy to your AI assistant

Paste this block into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any coding assistant to give it the full picture of this actor:

You have access to the Delaware Scraper on Apify: silentflow/delaware-scraper
It reads the entity search of the Delaware Division of Corporations (icis.corp.delaware.gov).
One row = one Delaware entity (corporation, LLC, limited partnership, general partnership, statutory trust).
Input (no field is required, but give at least one name or one file number):
- searchTerms (array of strings): entity names or their first words, e.g. ["OpenAI"]. Prefix match,
spaces and punctuation ignored. A name in quotes ("APPLE INC.") is an exact match. A line made only
of digits is read as a file number. Names that match more than 50 entities are read past the
State's 50-match page until maxItems. Prefilled with ["OpenAI"].
- entityIds (array of strings): Delaware file numbers, e.g. ["3868031"]. A profile link ending with
/us_de/<file number> works too. Prefilled with ["3868031"].
- maxItems (integer, default 100, prefilled 20): most entities in total for the run.
- exactMatch (boolean, default false): treat every name as the exact full name of one entity.
- debugMode (boolean, default false): extra log lines.
Output per entity (26 columns, flat, null when the State has no value, dates in RFC 3339 UTC):
- id (string, = fileNumber), fileNumber (string), entityName (string)
- url (string, permanent public profile page keyed by the file number)
- entityKind ("Corporation", "Limited Liability Company", "Limited Partnership", ...)
- entityType ("General", "Non-Profit or Religious", "Series", ...), residency ("Domestic" or "Foreign")
- stateOfFormation ("Delaware", "California", ...), stateOfFormationCode ("DE", "CA", null outside the US)
- isRestricted (bool, true when the State does not show the entity's details online)
- registeredAgentName, registeredAgentAddress, registeredAgentCity, registeredAgentCounty,
registeredAgentState, registeredAgentPostalCode, registeredAgentPhone (strings)
- registeredAgentFullAddress (string, "251 LITTLE FALLS DRIVE, WILMINGTON, DE 19808")
- isListedRegisteredAgent (bool, the agent is on the State's list of registered agents)
- registeredAgentEmail, registeredAgentWebsite (strings, from that list, null when not published)
- incorporationDate (RFC 3339), incorporationYear (int), ageYears (int, full years since formation)
- searchQuery (the name or file number that found the row), scrapedAt (RFC 3339)
Use apify-client for Python or JavaScript, or the Apify API, to run it and read the dataset.

How to search Delaware corporations and LLCs

Find every entity behind a brand name

Type the first words of the name. The State matches names that start with your text, ignoring spaces and punctuation, so OpenAI also finds OPEN AI CHEAT CODES INC. and THE OPENAI DEPLOYMENT COMPANY, LLC.

{
"searchTerms": ["OpenAI"],
"maxItems": 50
}

Check a list of Delaware file numbers

Paste the file numbers you hold in your CRM or due diligence file. Each one returns one entity, or a line in the log when the State has no entity under that number.

{
"entityIds": ["3868031", "7063675", "4056247"],
"maxItems": 10
}

Turn on exact match to get the entity whose full name is exactly what you typed, legal ending included, and nothing that merely starts with it.

{
"searchTerms": ["Apple Inc.", "Stripe 5 Delaware L.P."],
"exactMatch": true,
"maxItems": 10
}

Input parameters

ParameterTypeDefaultWhat it does
searchTermsarray of stringsprefilled ["OpenAI"]Entity names or their first words. Prefix match, spaces and punctuation ignored. A name in quotes is exact. A line of digits is read as a file number.
entityIdsarray of stringsprefilled ["3868031"]Delaware file numbers. One entity each. A profile link ending with the file number also works.
maxItemsinteger100 (prefilled 20)Most entities for the whole run, all names and file numbers together.
exactMatchbooleanfalseTreat every name as the exact full name of one entity.
debugModebooleanfalseExtra lines in the run log.

No field is required: give at least one name or one file number and run.

Accepted formats. Names are free text up to 120 characters, in any case: openai, OpenAI and OPENAI give the same result. File numbers are the digits of the Delaware file number (3868031), with or without spaces or dashes; a link such as https://opencorporates.com/companies/us_de/3868031 is read as file number 3868031. A line that is neither a name nor a file number is skipped and named in the log, and the run goes on with the others.

How names match. The State's search matches the start of the name with spaces and punctuation removed, which is why Open AI and OpenAI find the same entities, and why OpenAI also lists OPEN AIR AVIATION LLC. Put a name between quotes, or turn on exact match, to get only the entity with that full name. The State also leaves out the words that only give the legal form (such as THE, INC, CORPORATION or FOUNDATION) when it compares names: THE OPENAI DEPLOYMENT COMPANY, LLC is found by OpenAI, and OpenAI Foundation lists every OpenAI entity, not only OPENAI FOUNDATION. Add a distinctive word (OpenAI Global returns 3 entities) or use exact match to narrow it down.

More than 50 matches. The State shows at most 50 entities per search. When a name matches more, the run keeps reading in the State's alphabetical order until it reaches maxItems, and each entity is delivered once. Our test run on Stripe returned 75 entities in 44 seconds, 25 more than the State shows for one search.

What data can you extract from the Delaware registry?

Each row is one entity, with 24 data fields and 2 fields that say where the row came from:

GroupFields
Identity (4)id, fileNumber, entityName, url
Entity (6)entityKind, entityType, residency, stateOfFormation, stateOfFormationCode, isRestricted
Registered agent (11)registeredAgentName, registeredAgentAddress, registeredAgentCity, registeredAgentCounty, registeredAgentState, registeredAgentPostalCode, registeredAgentPhone, registeredAgentFullAddress, isListedRegisteredAgent, registeredAgentEmail, registeredAgentWebsite
Formation (3)incorporationDate, incorporationYear, ageYears
Run (2)searchQuery, scrapedAt

What the fields mean, and how stable they are:

  • id and fileNumber hold the Delaware file number, the State's permanent identifier of the entity. It never changes, even when the entity changes its name, so it is the key to join runs together.
  • url is a permanent public profile page for the entity, keyed by the same file number. The State's own search has no address for a single entity, so this is the link to keep in a spreadsheet or a CRM.
  • incorporationDate is the formation date for a Delaware entity, and the date it registered to do business in Delaware for a foreign one. It is written in RFC 3339 (2022-12-28T00:00:00Z), sorts as text, and comes with incorporationYear and ageYears for quick filters.
  • residency is Domestic when the entity was formed in Delaware and Foreign when it was formed in another state or country and registered in Delaware. For Apple Inc. it is Foreign, with stateOfFormation set to California.
  • isListedRegisteredAgent, registeredAgentEmail and registeredAgentWebsite come from the list of registered agents the Division of Corporations publishes. An agent that is not on that list (an individual, a law firm, a smaller provider) has isListedRegisteredAgent: false and no email or website.
  • isRestricted is true for the rare entities whose details the State does not show online. Those rows keep their name, file number and link, and their other fields are null.

Output example

One real row from our test run of 28 October 2026:

{
"id": "7208767",
"fileNumber": "7208767",
"entityName": "OPENAI HOLDCO, LLC",
"url": "https://opencorporates.com/companies/us_de/7208767",
"entityKind": "Limited Liability Company",
"entityType": "General",
"residency": "Domestic",
"stateOfFormation": "Delaware",
"stateOfFormationCode": "DE",
"isRestricted": false,
"registeredAgentName": "CORPORATION SERVICE COMPANY",
"registeredAgentAddress": "251 LITTLE FALLS DRIVE",
"registeredAgentCity": "WILMINGTON",
"registeredAgentCounty": "New Castle",
"registeredAgentState": "DE",
"registeredAgentPostalCode": "19808",
"registeredAgentPhone": "302-636-5401",
"registeredAgentFullAddress": "251 LITTLE FALLS DRIVE, WILMINGTON, DE 19808",
"isListedRegisteredAgent": true,
"registeredAgentEmail": "defilings@cscglobal.com",
"registeredAgentWebsite": "http://www.cscglobal.com",
"incorporationDate": "2022-12-28T00:00:00Z",
"incorporationYear": 2022,
"ageYears": 3,
"searchQuery": "OpenAI",
"scrapedAt": "2026-10-28T03:36:25Z"
}

The dataset opens on three views: Entities (name, file number, kind, formation date, state of formation, agent, link), Registered agents (the agent of each entity with address, phone, email and website) and Formation (kind, type, residency, state code, formation date and age). Every view exports to JSON, CSV, Excel, XML or HTML from the Storage tab, or through the dataset API.

Advanced usage

Map two corporate groups for a due diligence file

List the brands of the deal together. Each entity comes once, even when two names find it, so the table is ready to sort by incorporationDate and show how each group grew: holding companies, merger subs, funds and foreign registrations side by side.

{
"searchTerms": ["OpenAI", "Stripe"],
"maxItems": 200
}

Re-check a watchlist of counterparties every week

Save the file numbers of the entities you onboarded and schedule this input weekly in Apify Console. Compare registeredAgentName and entityName with last week's export to spot a change of agent or a new name on the same file number.

{
"entityIds": ["3868031", "7063675", "7208772", "4056247"],
"maxItems": 50
}

Collect every entity of a crowded name past the 50-match page

Raise maxItems and type the shortest name that covers what you want. The run reads past the State's 50-match page in alphabetical order until your number is reached.

{
"searchTerms": ["Stripe"],
"maxItems": 300
}

Build a list of entities that use one registered agent provider

Run broad names, then filter the Registered agents view on registeredAgentName. With registeredAgentEmail and registeredAgentWebsite on each row, a service provider sees at a glance which entities a competitor serves, and a law firm sees whom to contact for service of process.

{
"searchTerms": ["Acme", "Atlas", "Summit"],
"maxItems": 500
}

Mix names and file numbers from a spreadsheet column

Paste a whole column as it is: lines made only of digits are read as file numbers, the rest as names, and lines in quotes as exact names. One run, one table.

{
"searchTerms": ["3868031", "\"STRIPE 5 DELAWARE L.P.\"", "OpenAI Global"],
"maxItems": 20
}

FAQ

What does this actor return for each Delaware entity? The free public record the Division of Corporations shows for an entity: file number, name, formation date, entity kind and type, residency, state of formation and the registered agent's name, address, county and phone. On top of it come the agent's email and website from the State's list of registered agents, a one-line agent address, the two-letter state code, the formation year, the age in years and a permanent profile link.

Does it return good standing, franchise tax or officers? No. Delaware sells the entity status, franchise tax assessment and filing history separately, for a fee, and does not publish officers or owners. This actor returns everything the public record shows and nothing it does not. To prove good standing in a transaction, order a certificate from the State.

Do I need a Delaware account or an API key? No. The actor reads the public entity search, the same page anyone can open in a browser. You only need an Apify account, and the Free plan is enough to try it.

How fresh is the data? Every run reads the registry live, at the time of the run. A name change, a new registered agent or an entity formed this morning shows up in the next run.

Why does OpenAI also return OPEN AIR AVIATION LLC? The State compares names with spaces and punctuation removed, so OPEN AIR becomes OPENAIR and starts with OPENAI. Type a longer name, put the exact name in quotes, or turn on exact match to keep only what you want.

How many entities can one run return? As many as maxItems allows: there is no fixed limit. A file number returns one entity. A name returns every entity that starts with it, beyond the 50 the State shows per search, in alphabetical order. Our test run returned 75 entities for Stripe in 44 seconds.

Can I search many names and file numbers at once? Yes. Put as many names in searchTerms and as many numbers in entityIds as you need. File numbers are read first, then names, and an entity found twice is delivered once.

What happens with a file number the State does not know? It is skipped, named in the run log, and the run goes on with the others. You get no empty row for it.

What is the difference between Domestic and Foreign? A domestic entity was formed in Delaware. A foreign entity was formed in another state or country and registered to do business in Delaware, like Apple Inc., formed in California. For a foreign entity, the formation date is the date it registered in Delaware.

Is the profile link permanent? Yes. url is keyed by the file number, the State's permanent identifier of the entity, so the link stays valid when the entity changes its name. The agent's website is the one the agent gave the State and can change if the agent changes it.

What is a registered agent, and why does it matter? Every Delaware entity must name a registered agent with an address in Delaware to receive legal papers and official mail. Most entities use a commercial provider such as Corporation Service Company or The Corporation Trust Company. Knowing the agent tells you where to serve papers and which provider an entity works with.

This Actor extracts publicly available data from the entity search of the Delaware Division of Corporations (icis.corp.delaware.gov) and from the list of registered agents the Division publishes (corp.delaware.gov). It does not bypass any login, paywall, or CAPTCHA. Users are responsible for complying with the State of Delaware's terms of use, including the notice on its search page about automated and excessive searches, and with applicable data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, and PIPL where relevant). Registered agents are sometimes private individuals with a home address: handle that personal data accordingly, for a legitimate purpose. The data returned is informational and is not a statement of good standing; for an official certificate of status, order one from the Delaware Division of Corporations.
